I recently purchased the Ultimate started kit from V4L. I didn't get the correct battery colors and I also got a broken pass-thru. No big deal. It happens. I emailed customer service and they told me to return the items to them and they would replace them. Not the stated warrantee ("best in the business"), but still no big deal. I figured that I would just preorder my next months cartos and take advantage of free shipping when they shipped me the exchanged stuff. NOT the case. I emailed them before making a 2nd order asking for permission to do this and they emailed back agreeing to this. BUT they again charged me for shipping and sent the exchanged stuff back on my dime. Nice. So to correct the original order problem, I spent an extra $12 on shipping. They spent nothing.
BTW: I found customer service to be infuriating. I have informed them of all this and their solution was to just refuse the shipment, meaning I'd be out a battery and a pass-thru from my original purchase of the ultimate package. How is that a solution?
I thought there was a misunderstanding, so I emailed them back again and again. The end result is nothing. They claim no fault and the only misunderstanding is mine. Apparently, they thought I rushed in an order because I wanted to pay for return shipping for their mistake.
Don't believe everything you read about V4L. I've read all the good reports, but my experience was awful.
