Not sure if I'm eligible to enter this week, but I'm gonna give it a shot as I can't pass up the opportunity to up my chances at winning a VERSA. Especially considering I took Uncle's accelerated online course on the transient effects of liquid crystals suspended in nicotine solution submitted to an external electric field (such as the VERSA) and came up with this simplified model:

The answer, then, becomes 30. There are 30 bottles in the vase.
