Hello.
I just purchased a Telescopic Promod from vaporbeast. It arrived and I put a brand new AW 18650 battery. When I popped the battery out after testing the mod, it looks pretty chewed up. Has anyone else had this problem?
Not sure if I didn't something wrong, but no matter how I do it, the battery spins inside while setting it up. Initially I put the battery in, capped it, and then screwed the telescope down till it was good and snug.
Now the battery looks like it has some light grooves all round it, and it also looks the the rim around the top of the battery, near the positive terminal, looks like it is pretty worn down. Also right inside the chamber where the top of the battery would sit, there are some grooves scratched into the metal where I'm assuming the battery spun inside and scratched it up.
It doesn't seem like the battery is too big for the chamber. It is snug, but there is just the slight play inside the chamber.
Also, the postive post screw that makes contact with the battery looks like it put a sharp groove into the positive lead on the battery. It is still ok to use with a scratch on the + lead?
Is the battery still safe to use now? Not sure how much a battery actually gets beaten up inside mods.
Any help, insight, or info on what I'm doing wrong, or how I might correct this.
