HI everyone....I ordered the new VaporTitan starter kit from V4L, and it arrived yesterday. It came with some prefilled cartos, and I ordered some blanks as well. (this is an KR-808D battery). I originally had the ProSmoke, which is a small (M401 i believe) battery, I was tired of filling cartridges like crazy, as I can only get about 7 drops in each one. I did some research and thought the V4L option seemed like a good one. I'm having some issues, and I really don't think its working properly. I charged the batteries for a full 8 hours before giving them a try, so they are definitely charged.

Here's the problem...with the prefilled cartridges, I can get a decent hit, but I feel like i am sucking EXTREMELY hard in order to get LED to even light up...like I can feel my face straining! Not pleasant!

For the blank cartridges, I watched several videos, so I highly doubt my filling method was the problem, as it was very simple to do. When I put the blank on, I cannot get it to recognize I am taking a drag at all...the LED doesnt light up, no vapor, nothing.

Has anyone else had similar issues? Any idea what could be wrong?

Oh...and I do hear a LOT of crackling on the atomozer with both cartridges...but that could be normal.

Any insight is greatly appreciated! I don't want to just assume I got a defect. I was so excited about this shipment and I just want to use it!! :)

I don't know the answer to your problem, but my two cents are - if you can, get a manual battery (pushbutton) - it's by far the way to go for quality vaping.

Thanks for the tip...I actually called V4L and am having them send me the manual. For some reason those weren't an option in the starter kit. Hopefully they get here quick...I got all this awesome stuff and just want to use it!! :)

Couple questions: Does the threaded barrel on the battery have any small holes drilled in it? Most KR808D-1 batteries will have 4 small holes spaced around the barrel where it joins the body of the battery. Does the center contact of the battery have a slot machined in it? Does the center contact of the carto have a corresponding slot machined in it? This is how air gets through the slots in the base of the carto, thru the connection and into the carto itself ...

Yes...it has the 4 holes on the battery, and the corresponding slots on the cartos. The center contact of the battery has what looks like a slot. Basically a rectangular shaped groove through the center of the circular center contact, and the carto has a similar slot on the center contact as well

you got me then pal ... should be more than enough airflow into the rear end of the carto to make for a reasonable draw and activate the battery... if you take the carto off and just put your mouth around the connector end of the battery (don't touch the contacts with your tongue ... lol) you can test the sensor ... should take very little suction to activate the battery ... make the led turn on ... if you have to suck hard at all ... the battery has an issue.

You aren't putting the cartos on too tight, are you? They don't need to be on really tight. Also, 2 other things to check with the cartos....1. especially for the ones you filled, try blowing out the inner tube into a paper towel and clean off any juice at the end. Then get a paper clip or safety pin and stick it in the inner tube and gently move around to clear out the inner tube. 2. Maybe you are not getting a good connection. Sometimes the battery post needs to be adjusted. Take a safety pin and try moving the center post a little one way or the other and see if the connection gets any better.
