So its been a couple of weeks with my vapormaxx VMX and I'm enjoying it more and more. The key of course to their good vapor production is 100% VG base in their juices.
I've since started to become a mad scientist mixing up my own juices. I will add my a few of my fav recipes to the form shortly, they will be Strawberry-Cherry-Licorice (might be suitable to call its 'Nibs' or 'Twissler'), and Banana-Nut Bread. I like a cherry-cinnamon mix very much too.. but gotta experiment a bit on the ratios to get things perfect... Anyhow I digress.. back to Vapormaxx.
So I was real happy to find that they have added cartomizers to their offering: They offer packs of 5 empties for $8 (+$3.75 shipping but I bought 5 packs at once for same shipping price). They sell also tobacco or menthol pre-filled for $11 a pack. Their picture shows only 2 cartos packaged in a clear plastic tube and they don't specify the number of cartos in the price... I was happy to get the 5 packs (which is typical of how cartos are sold). Hope they don't switch to selling 2-packs for the same price!
More importantly! This is an except from the site:
'VMX Cartomizers are compatible with all 4801 type batteries, such as the Smoke 51 Trio, Smoking Everywhere Gold and Smoke Stik brand batteries. Turn your old three piece 4801 e-cigarette into a Vapormaxx Super Vaporizer with our all new VMX Cartomizers!!!'
So finally a few models that define what these threads are compatible with! I do have to admit, it is hard to find supplies for those models. I think their price is fair for the carto 5-packs, but I haven't found spare batteries sold separate on their site. My kit came with 2, but I'm still managing to suck them both dry sometimes... Plus I dropped one, and lost the little plastic lense that covers the LED. Now it looks like a beat-up cyborg cigarette
Another comment on their batteries; I've heard reviews where people complained that their auto-batteries would activate from loud music, or wind / vibration. These only go on if you suck on them... Don't know if that is any clue to who the chinese manufacturer is?
I also bought (before I discovered these were not Joy 510 compatible) a 510 style Personal Charging Case (PCC), fortunately, it is not a threaded connection so works fine with my vapormaxx batteries.
Gotta go get my fresh battery... this one is blinking 3 times to tell me its empty...
Good puffs!
