slaabrokk,
As you know, every coin has two sides. Fortunately/unfortunately this theory also applies to attys and cartos. I doubt anyone can tell you which attys and/or cartos work "best" because "best" is so subjective and a matter of personal preferences. So, you are sort of stuck with having to try different attys (brands, models and ohms) until you find the ones that work "best" for YOUR preferences and YOUR juices.
As you can see from my signature line, I have a bunch of different devices (including both of the long Sabers). I have tried many many different attys and ultimately find certain ones work best for me with certain devices.
For me and my preferences, I am not a fan of cartos. They CAN be convenient, especially for driving, but I have feeder mods that I much prefer over using cartos. Each atty has different characteristics. Reading these forums, you will see many people are big fans of the 510 attys. These come in many different ohms (resistance) ratings and each will provide different vape experiences depending on the volts and juices. I think there may be 6 or more different 510 atty ohms ratings and there are several different brands as well (not all brands make all the different ohms ratings). Some people like 901s and others like the 801 series (includes 801, BE112 and 302).
Personally, I am a fan of the 302 atty at 5V (regulated). I use the 801 HV 4.5 ohm atty on my 5V "resisted" device (not ST). The 302 is in the 3.3 (+/-) ohms range. I find the 302 gives me the most flavor of any atty if it does not get too hot. But, some people do not like the 801 series attys at all. Some people prefer warmer vapor and a tighter draw. Some attys give more flavor, others give more vapor, etc. There is a lovely French expression: "a chacun ses gouts" - to each his (and/or her) own or, as we Americans more crudely might say: different strokes for different folks.
What I can also share is that I find 3.0 - 3.3 ohms attys give me the nicest vape experience on 5V regulated. Others will disagree and say they love 2.5 volt atttys. My juices have higher VG base mix ratios and I find that VG burns at lower temperatures so using 2.5 ohms atts gets a little too hot for my juices. Again: "a chacun ses gouts".
If you want to try some other USA juices, I would suggest you check out
Vaperite as their organics and natural lines are amazing and some of the tobacco flavors are some of the very best I have found.
Best wishes on your experimenting and please do come back and let us know what you learn from your experiments.
Happy
