Something weird happening with my ST. I'll get three really good hits, then little whispy vapor until I leave it sit for a good 5 minutes, then it's back to normal for three hits, then whispy vapor again unless I leave it rest for a minute or two. Seems weird. I've tested both batteries on the multimeter, tried different 510 atties all reading 2.1-2.2 ohms and even tried different juices from pg to pg/vg blend to straight vg and the same results. Tried blowing out the atty and re-dripping. Tried adding less drops. Tried adding more drops. Blew it out and started fresh....... I don't know what's happening. Batteries are in good form and getting 4.98 volts at the 510 connection unloaded.

It seems like after the 3 good hits, there isn't enough voltage going to the atomizer and it acts like I'm vaping at 3.1 volts and not 5 volts anymore until everything gets back to room temperature.

Any ideas?

I pm'd Sir Lawrence for his thoughts, but, anybody else experiencing inconsistent "hits" off the 5 volt ST. It's weird and I've never experienced anything like this before. I know my batteries are good. Atties good. juice is good. I hope it's not my ST.

I just tried it again and same results. Nice strong sounding atty sizzle for the first 4 vapes, then I can hardly hear the atty and get hardly any vapor after that. I'm dripping three drops at a time.

Hi boom,
This is something I've never heard of before happening... If you are still getting the right volts out of it, it should be going to the atty alright. It should not be acting up from overheating too much, the circuits can go up to like 400f. Is your atty leaking liquid into the top causing maybe a bad connection? See, it's things like this that I wish I could actually test it myself and see what's going on. Is your spring connecting properly? I'm just trying to think of things that may be happening...
Please, keep me posted. Like I said, this is a first. And if you are getting the proper volts and amps going to the connector it shouldn't be the mod acting up. Basically, it's a very fancy battery connector, and according to your meter it's functioning the way it should.
Let me know, please.
Sir

boomboom, I have had the same problem. Seems to be with the connection. I unscrew the bottom cap and screw it back on then it works. Also, if your hands are very dry, get some moisture on your fingers and try again.

Sir Lawrence.......another user with the same problem. What could be the cause? Loose batteries/poor connection with end spring?

It could be just not tightening down enough on the battery cap. See, if I make the connection any tighter, the spring won't be able to collapse in an emergency. Too loose, then you have a poor connection. It's a fine line between the two. Maybe trying to stretch the spring a little depending on what batts you are putting in it.

I guess from now on, I'll be making the connection a little tighter. Hopefully, this will take care of the problem.

I thought mine was DOA but like a guy thing I didnt read the instructions. With the blk satan powder model you need to be touching the top or bottom fixture to complete a connection. After I did that then everything was right with the world.;)
.............bAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
Hints the big giant memo with yellow highlighter... :D
