Hey Guys...
How would you all like it if I threw up a Very Discounted Saber on this thread for sale? It would only be one, and will have my warranty... Just to bring some people back to ECF and to our threads.
What I would do is to show a picture of the Saber, and tell a little about it, and the price. Then, the first person who wants it will post and then email me about getting a Payment Request from Google Checkout.
Do you think this would be something you all would like?

I have been eyeballing the Saber Touch for a while. Beautiful mod. I currently vape a Maxi Roughstack at 5 volts with dual coil cartos and have found that to be just about as good as I could hope for. The Roughstack is a great device...reliable, versatile and tough as nails. I don't worry about treating it with kid gloves at work and that is how it should be. But as great as the RS is, it's kinda like the semi-cute tomboy across the street...lots of fun during the daytime, but when the sun goes down and your hanging at home or going out on the town you want something a little sexier with you.

This is where I see a Saber Touch ( or other "fancier" mod ) coming in. Unfortunately I have been told that my beloved dualies may not fire above 3.8ish on the Saber because of some kind of vape gremlin in the circuitry. Instead of relying on message board hearsay I figured I would come straight to the source (Sir_Lawrence ) for the straight poop.

Sir_Lawrence...will your regulated 5 volt run my dual coils the way I am accustomed to or will they run at the 3.8 range. Thanks in advance for any input you can give me.

Right now, the ST 5v Regulated is a "True" regulated mod... not run off of resisters. The dual cartos will use as high as 3amps, and the ST, as well as most regulated mods will not put out that type of current. I'm currently looking for a 5v regulator that will put out around 3-5 amps. The problem is they become rather large.

I thought that the maxi roughstack ran at whatever the battery puts out... that it is not regulated down in any way. And it won't give you a true 5v... I may be mistaken. Also, isn't that the mod that you can replace the push button when it fails? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

The Maxi does have the replaceable button/switch and is very easy to do even for a goob like me. I use it at 5 and 6 volts and have some 3.7 batts to stack and hit it at 7.4, but that is a tad too warm and the flavor is terrible at 7.4 volts. The 5 volt batts I have come off the charger at 5.6ish and are pretty well spent at 4.5 or so, but it's fun and flavorfull while it lasts.

What kind of output could I expect with the 3.7 version and a 2.0 or 1.8 carto? I am kinda ohmage/wattage challenged, but know that I like the 5 volt range. 2.0 cartos at 3.7 volts on the RS aregood but not quite as good as the dualies at 5 volt.

Now, the Saber Touch 3.7v/6v version works just great with the Dual Cartos. This version allows whatever the battery power is come all out. It will give you the same effect if you use (2) RCR123a 3v Batts since your battery power will be above 6v. Also, if you look on my site you will see the new ST Passthru and I carry an adjustable AC Adapter that you can set at a bunch of different settings.

That's interesting. I have a couple sets of the lifepo 3.0 batts that I use for 6 volts now. So you're saying that with your 3.7/6 volt ST and the passthru I could throw in a couple of my 3.0 ( or my 3.7??) batts and dial it down to 5 volts? And I'm sorry for taking up your time answering basic stuff I could probably spend a little time on and figure out for myself, but I really do appreciate it...thanks.

No, the 3.7v/6v Saber Touch will put out everything your battery has to put out. When people use dual cartos on it, they usually use (2) RCR123a 3v batts, which will seem to be giving you around 5v. The passthru is just another way to power the mod. It is not an adjustable mod. With the passthru and the adjustable AC Adapter, you can set the AC so that it will put out 5v exactly, or higher if you want.
