Just thought I'd introduce myself here and get a quick opinion. New guy from northern West Virginia. I'm purchasing my first e-cig tomorrow (Vapornine's Rio, like the title says), and the couple reviews I've seen for it have been good, but I'm still a tad nervous about it, being a noob and all.

So I thought I'd get a broader opinion on it and see what everyone thinks, maybe from people who use it but haven't really talked about it on here where I can see it. Is it fairly reliable, how long should I expect carts and the atomizer to last... you know, give me the basics on it, if you would. Price is a bit of an issue, but of course if I should go with something else, let me know that too. I was looking at Puresmoker's stuff, but he's out of everything and I'm too impatient to wait. :p

I feel like I've done nothing but research this for 3 days now, but for some reason I'm still a little nervous. Or maybe those butterflies are from anticipation, lol. But either way, any help will be appreciated. :D

I did the exact same thing and researched the hell out of everything, watched every vid and debated. It's easy to be worried as you don't want your first e-cig experience to suck!

vaping technique and experience is different than smoking analogs, this you need to accept before you even open the box. Patience is important when you first start vaping (aka make sure you charge your batteries completely - some recommend 12 hours before use) and making sure you understand how the process works will make it less frustrating in the long run.

Enjoy the anticipation and just give your e-cig a chance. If the batteries are fully charged you'll have a much better experience ( I know I repeated that above but it is uber important) and if the e-cig doesn't perform the way you expect it, check these forums- I'm sure there are helpful posts to make it better!

Welcome to vaping :)

I actually just went through a couple posts and saw someone else in my boat. I watched puresmoker sell out of stock right before my eyes and settled on the Rio, and so did he. So at least I'm not the only one who did that, lol.

And Oz, thanks for the advise. :D I have a feeling everything is gonna work out well. At least I won't have to freeze my hind-quarters off to go outside and get my fix anymore. Hopefully I'll remember to be patient about it at first. :p

If anyone else has anything to add, especially concerning the Rios, let 'er rip. I wanna make absolutely sure I'm doing this right the first time around, or at least doing it as well as possible.

And also, another question I didn't think to add up there. Will puresmokers atomizers work with the Rio? I'm no good at distiguishing models yet, so I have no clue.

I have the Rio, it's a very good e-cig. If you are a heavy smoker, this is one of the better e-cig for heavy smoker. The cartridge can hold alot of liquid, so you don't have to top it off too often like other smaller models. It's a Pen-style e-cig, Many companies produce them. I had seen them with different model number (DSE801, RN4072, M201 by Smoore...etc). You can't go wrong with the pen-style e-cig. It's one of the most popular model currently.

Hey there everyone- My first post on this forum, so Hi!

I have to admit, I was one of the people who got duped by smokingeverywhere.com and ordered their icig gold (aka icig 3.0). They were running a buy 2 get one free special and they were 100 bucks a pop. All it came with was 1 atomizer, 1 battery, a USB charger, and 2 carts. Ordered 2 day shipping, because i'm impatient, and it did come in 2 days. When they came in the mail, it says charge for at least 8 hours before use. It's fully charged when the light turns green. Well the friggin light never turned green. It kept blinking red and blue. ON ALL THREE OF THEM. So I try it anyway after well over 8 hours charging, and the batts still wouldnt hold a charge, and to top it off, as i tried smoking it, all the fluid from the cart went into my mouth and it left a nasty burning feeling on my lip for the better part of the day. I called up customer service, and of course, no refunds, exchanges only. I've pretty much given up all hope with them.

Then I actually did my research. Thanks to GrimmGreen's video review of the Rio, as well as the many, many posts about how great Ben over at vapornine was, i decided to order the rio, along with some empty carts and a bottle of their vanilla vice. Ordered it Friday, and it was in the office by monday. Talk about fast shipping! I also had some quesions for Ben and they were answered almost instantaneously! He's really great, very professional, and prompt in answering questions! So anyway, i'm sitting in my office, they came to me charged, and I figured, hey, what the hell? lemme take this thing for a test drive. My kit came with 2 complete e-cigs. I load up an empty cart with the vanilla vice (the carts DO take a lot more fluid than what i've seen) and WOW! it was awesome! Good vapor, no fluid on my lip, and the batts last a pretty long time! I keep both batteries charged and in the carrying case just in case one dies, but haven't really had that problem. So overall, I think that the Vapornine Rio is a great e-cig for a beginner. Right now, I'm looking into good ejuices. I hear that some juices vape better than others. But anyway, that's been my experience with it. Good luck with yours! Hope it helps.

We, my wife and I just ordered two Rios from Ben at Vapornine earlier this afternoon. My wife, who placed the order made a mistake during checkout and clicked the local pickup option. Ben emailed her immediately and even though we forgot to pay for the shipping, he offered to just ship them for free anyway. That was very nice of him to offer, however I sent him the shipping fees via Paypal anyway. Ben said that our order will be going out tomorrow.
We ordered a bunch of 901s from Puresmoker last Friday as soon as the site went back online. As of today, still not sure if our orders from them have gone out yet or not, as it still says processing. I know Steve got hit with a lot at once, so we decided to get an order on the way from vapornine.
As for the Rio, it is an 801 and I love the penstyles, I get much better mileage out of them than all the others I have tried. Plus for me, they seem to produce a better throat kick and flavor. For your first e-cig, your research paid off. I feel you made a wise decision.

Good to see positive reviews. I went ahead and ordered mine late last night (this morning, really) after the first couple replies, and those last couple have made me feel pretty good about that decision. :D

Hopefully I'll have it in the next couple days. I'm really looking forward to not having to buy analogs anymore. That most recent price hike was what pushed me over the edge to finally come look at these. I had heard about them around a month ago, but only now had a good reason to come look. Glad I did!

I'll definitely be hanging around here a good bit, so hopefully I'll get to know everyone soon. :)

Just wanted to update this in case anyone is interested, or if maybe another newbie might see it, maybe it'll help.

Just got my Rio in the mail, and I can't put the dang thing down! I can see how this thing could keep me away from analogs pretty easily. The vapor is wicked thick, the taste is great (using Vanilla Vice, yum!), and the shipping was amazingly fast. I can't comment on the battery life yet since I only took my first hit about 20 minutes ago, but if it's anything like the other parts of the story, I'd say it'll probably be great too! And that sexy crackling sound! I'd heard about it, but a video review just can't capture what a wonderful sound that is!

If anyone is on the fence about buying from Ben, especially as a first timer, I'll say this. Get of that damn fence and do it! I'll definitely be going back to him for more. Got my eye on a Modena, once I get a passthrough and some spare parts stocked up. :D
