Hey all,
As promised, here's my review of a few flavors from VaporRenu.com
device: eGo from e-smokeytreats.com
Method: Dripping baby!!! (gotta love drip-tips
)
All the liquids I ordered were 60/40 blend (PG/VG respectively) and with their "double shot" option for flavor. Throat hit option: medium. I got some without nicotine; all the ones with nicotine are 11mg strength.
So let's get to it:
Honey: I got this one without niccotine with the intention of using this as my "after dinner vape"... you know, when you have a couple hours to just veg out in front of the tv but also feel like having a little dessert. I have to imagine that vaping this has to be healthier than having that piece of cheesecake with a cup of coffee... though I might still have the coffee
It actually surprised me a bit. I expected it to be over-sweet (I had regretted getting the double-shot after ordering), but it's actually very well balanced. Not too sweet with an almost "caramelized" quality to it, and a distinct honey after taste (the ultra-natural honey... not that processed .... you get at the grocery store). The throat hit is pretty light, even with the medium hit option... but there's also no nicotine in this blend so that has to be taken into consideration.
Chocolate Mint: I'm really enjoying this one (this has 11mg nicotine strength). A very nice blend for someone who doesn't particularly like the flavor of tobacco but still wants something with a warm texture. The mint isn't overpowering in this one; again, very well balanced and not too sweet. It goes very well with a fresh cup of coffee and has a smooth throat hit (almost too smooth). I'll definitely order this again, but I'll probably choose the "aggressive" option for throat hit (or get a higher nic level).
"That Sticky Icky":Mmmm I like this one
I ordered this both with and without nicotine; so I can enjoy it both for my nic-fits as well as for hours of vegging out in front of the tv
It's not exactly "spot on" but it definitely has that particular herbal quality to it and is a reasonable approximation of the real thing (though more like stem or leaf than bud). It does, however, produce a lingering odor that my fiance doesn't particularly like
I don't know if I'd want to vape this in the car or at work either
Orange Cream: I got this one without nicotine for my fiance if she wants to power-vape. This one I find a little too sweet for my tastes. However, orange cream is naturally too sweet for me anyways. I love orange, I love cream... put em' together however, and they overpower my senses. Still a good vaping experience though. Definitely recommended for those who enjoy this flavor and don't mind particularly sweet juice. Even without nicotine and with the same medium throat hit as the rest of the juices, this one packed a stronger punch than the chocolate mint (which has nicotine and should have a stronger throat hit), but is still very smooth. You may want to dedicate an atty to this flavor if you're gonna use it, as it's proving tough to get the taste out of this atty (I may just switch it out with one of my fiance's 510 atty's since this is her flavor).
Re(4)nu Menthol: I am not a fan of menthol. But this is fantastic
There's actually a very good review of this on the VaporRenu website which explains it better. Basically, he's right. Don't drip too many drops or else the menthol may be too strong, and the flavor undertones that go with it are very, very nice
Strongest throat hit of all the liquids (due to the menthol). I could vape this regularly and I'm not even a menthol fan.
Overall I would highly recommend VaporRenu. The prices are awesome ($7 for a 30ml bottle... some options cost $0.50-1 extra; so $8.50 max price on 30ml bottles... good deal). I can't fully comment fully on throat hit, as I had emailed Jason about changing some of the throat hit on some of the order and even though he said he would make the changes, the labels still match up with the original order and he may have actually made the changes I asked for, but not gotten them completely correct. I blame this on myself, not Jason; as my email had a lot of questions in it and my order change may have gotten lost in my noobishness
