Enigma, "Gravity of Love" (1999)
Michael Cetu's New Age/Electronica project turned to Orff's "Carmina Buranna" for inspiration for their fourth album, The Screen Behind the Mirror. The album's single, "Gravity of Love," was also used in the Mummy franchise spin-off film, The Scorpion King.

With the ending of World War I a housing boom in Britain and the United States leads to an increase in home ownership

Nineteenth Amendment To The Constitution is ratified on August 18, giving women the right to vote.

The Russian Civil war Ends but the country struggles as a famine begins in 1920 and worsens the following year.

The 18th Amendment ( Volstead Act (National Prohibition Act) goes into force at the beginning of the decade which in turn leads to increased ( black market alcohol that is sold in speakeasies and run by mobsters who pay off local politicians

The Palmer Raids lead to the arrest and deportation of 6,000 foreign aliens suspected radical leftists.

Barenaked Ladies, Gordon (1992)
By the time the Ladies issued their first major-label release, they had already found quite a following for their quirky, comedic--though sensitive--music. Includes reworked favorites from their "Yellow Tape" demo as well as new tunes. The Canadian band would later find more commercial success on later albums--and become a familiar sound in living rooms across the U.S. with their theme song for the popular sitcom, "The Big Bang Theory."

I watched Twelve Monkeys last night, and I was wrong it wasn't good, it was amazing! I can't believe I hadn't watched it in years



And for todays first entry, here's another I haven't seen in years but plan to watch it soon - Flatliners (1990)
