Night Gallery is an American anthology series that aired on NBC from 1970 to 1973, featuring stories of horror and the macabre. Rod Serling, who had gained fame from an earlier series, The Twilight Zone, served both as the on-air host of Night Gallery and as a major contributor of scripts, although he did not have the same control of content and tone as he had on The Twilight Zone.[1][2] Serling viewed Night Gallery as a logical extension of The Twilight Zone, but while both series shared an interest in thought-provoking dark fantasy, the lion’s share of Zone‘s offerings were science fiction while Night Gallery focused on horror and the supernatural

One of the original 'punk' bands... LOL!! (actually, more of a garage band!)

These guys played at one of our HS dances, and they were HORRIBLE live!!
I had all of their LP's, plus a couple of 45's, and I was SO bummed...

This was filmed on one of the many 'dance' shows here in the 60's... with Kasey Kasem hosting!!

Sky "Sunlight" Saxon passed away a few years ago, and they had a really big tribute concert for him here in L.A.
He had gotten into some really weird stuff towards the end of his career, but was just getting ready to do a tour with some other bands from the early 60's, when he died unexpectedly...

R.I.P. Sky!!

SCTV was initially produced in 1976 at the Toronto studios of the Global Television Network, then a small regional network of stations in Southern Ontario. For the first six episodes, new episodes were seen once a month. For the next seven episodes (beginning in February 1977, and continuing through the spring of 1977) new episodes were seen every second week.

The original SCTV cast consisted of John Candy, Joe Flaherty, Eugene Levy, Andrea Martin, Catherine O'Hara, Harold Ramis, and Dave Thomas.

This is HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!

I loved this show (and The Twilight Zone, too) but I hated it when they repackaged some of the old 'Sixth sense' shows and tried to pass them off as 'new' Night Gallery episodes!!! :p

How do you "post" the ** CHIT CHAT**
In the top of your posts.........I can't figure that out????????

In the 'Advanced' mode, it is a space at the top of the post called "Title"... :)

(in a post I just recently edited, I typed my 'reason' in the wrong place and it came up as the "Title" instead... )

Fernwood 2 Night (or Fernwood Tonight) was a comedic television program that ran from July 1977 to September 1977. It was created by Norman Lear and produced by Alan Thicke as a spin-off/summer replacement from Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman. It was a parody talk show, hosted by Barth Gimble (Martin Mull) and sidekick/announcer Jerry Hubbard (Fred Willard), complete with a stage band, Happy Kyne and His Mirthmakers (featuring Frank De Vol as the ironically dour "Happy" Kyne, and Tommy Tedesco as one of the guitarists). Barth was the twin brother of Garth Gimble from Mary Hartman.

Does anyone else remember this or America Tonight?

Another band that played at one of our dances. I bought the 45' of this song before they were signed to a major label... and I still have it!! :) (The Turtles and The Doors played at some of our HS dances, too... but I was still in Jr. High then and couldn't go... :( )

I am soooooooooo jealous.
but we did get (apx '65) at one HS (I had to sneak in 'cause still in JH too).

These guys used to play our dances all the time...

We didn't have the mods and the Rockers, we had the Surfers and the Low-Riders... (lol) and I always liked to think of this song as a combination of the 2 kinds of music... :)

Although the title is taken from a street where the Low-Riders would go cruising in the town of the same name. In our area, it was Hawthorne Blvd. and people would 'cruise' to the A+W Root Beer stand/Drive-in restaurant, complete with car hops!!

(there's a minute of dead air at the end of this song... )
