hello.out there...new twist two days old ..been on charger since 10:30 am still red..was on yesterday from 5:30 till 10:30..only lasted one hour..is normal?don't want to ruin it or anything?
I think it is really weird that multiple people are having issues with charging the twist. I don't have any idea why this is happening. I have not experienced any problems with it thus far.
No...i don't think that is normal. My charges like a normal ego battery and lasts a good long time. I have not actually timed it since I am usually using multiple batteries at a time, but my twist does tend to get more action than my other ego style batts.
I have had my 1000 mAh Twist for over a week and have only had to charge it once..works fine.
Is curious I just rcvd it from him (wolf ) on the 9th 2 days..first day it lasted awhile without even a cherge?..now? don't know what to do...pm'd him earlier ..no response yet..send e-mail?..you guys know him? help....lol..Joe
My regular ego-t 1000Mah lasts for hours without a charge and two maybe three to charge it ?
It has overload protection I believe so it doesn't overcharge...Your mileage may vary...meaning depending on how much you vape and at what voltage your battery may die faster...I vape mine around 4.0 and it lasts me quite some time...what kind of charger are you using?
Am using an ego charger I got when I purchased my ego -t works fine on it?..I also was vaping the twist a 3.8- 4.0 was great really miss it already..hope is something simple.
more importantly, what are you plugging the charger into?
if a wall wart usb power supply, make sure it puts out at least 5v @ 750ma ... if a computer, make sure you use the front panel USB if available - they put out more power generally.
i plug my ego chargers (normal 4.2v 420ma) into phone chargers that put out 5v @ 750ma - or my pc which will put out 5v @ 1a ... never have a problem with them.
another thought - how tight are you screwing them down? you could be mashing the center terminal sideways ... i just tighten mine until the button blinks and leave it like that. one of my chargers, that takes like 10 turns, the other, about 3 ... and i always screw the battery on with it plugged in just for that reason.
as long as the battery or the ring with the button isn't getting hot to the touch, i wouldn't worry too much.
yet another thought - did you make sure the terminal / threads were clean? juice can gunk those up quick if you are not careful.
