Hi Sandie...great to see you* ...as far as I know there is still a contest going on as well as a chat thread...I think with the new B and M and the charity going on he is very very busy*..he usually makes up for lost time when he does though..but I think he would tell us if the contest ended it or paused it just so we know..[not speaking 'for' him but I just think it's something he would do* ] .but I haven't heard anything about it one way or the other...great seeing you...* I hope you have a great day {{{hugs}}} xoox PS is it really a bad idea to eat on the beaches there..just wondered*

I thought I was missing out - not only on chatting with everyone,

I missed being on here for such a long time, wasn't sure if Wolf had stopped the contest or moved it ... thanks for letting me know.
And yes ... it really IS a bad idea taking a lunch and sitting at the beach here. I only did it "once".
I think every sea gull on the entire CA coast came flying over to me. They were flying over my head, and were on the beach all around me (have you seen the movie, The Birds? Ha, ha).
And yes ... it's probably true they "poop every fifteen minutes" ... it was an interesting experience. 
But ... I still love watching and listening to the gulls ... I just eat before I go.
oh wow Sandie..** goodness** aww that is something...wow they are mighty hungry birds ha oh wow*...We have seagulls at the beaches here but they don't come near you..at least not at the ones I have ever been too * oh but..* we do have a LOT of pigeons in the neighborhood though and whoa* that's where you have to watch*..they are 'pooper's too..ha* oh goodness* {{{hugs}}}

Ahh ... pigeons are such pretty birds. I really like birds ... there's a mockingbird that's in the trees off my bedroom deck sometimes, and it's beautiful to listen to at night.
I think the gulls were so "friendly", because the beach rarely has anyone here. It's very secluded and rocky with tide pools. I don't think they see "food" like that very often.
(Just hope they don't try to eat "me" one day!)
