A couple tricks I've found are not to fill all the way up and when you start getting the dry hits you have to reload the bottom chamber by fast drawing in while the PV is off.
Ok, they were mentioning something about the chamber or coil being too far down and you could pull it up slightly but this video is 30something minutes long and not too organized.. getting tired of listening to this guy..
But, tried your hoover method and I sucked like no one has sucked befor (no Katie, keep it to yourslef! lol) and that worked, so I guess I'll just have to do that a few time throughout the day.. Only downside, got a little juice/residue/ or something on my lips for a sight tingle, but not the end of the world.
