Yes it is great news!!

Doc told me I had COPD when I was smoking and know can't believe he ever said it!!!

I love feel good stories.
Slightly over a year ago I had bronchitis that lasted a couple months (this after smoking over 40 years up to 2 PAD)...(sheesh, no wonder right?...)
anyway, I found vaping and within a few weeks that horrible daily coughing- up- a-lung stopped. Yay! My voice stopped being so raspy and I'm sure my lungs have or are reverting to a normal -presmoking- state, it seems.
I wish every smoker would try vaping!

good evening everyone!

Today was doctor day. All day..... hateful day.....driving driving....doctor.....x-rays.......whatever else she can think of...LOL blood work....driving back........pharmacy....etc. It hurts and is exhausting and I am so so so happy to be home. And happy to be here with you guys because I have news.

Really really good news.

One of the minor things that I see my doctor for is emphysema. I have so much going on with me, it seems minor anyway. I am basically in my hover round, in my house all the time with the most exquisitely horrible pain, round the clock. I am not anymore because my wonderful doctor has been the last 4 months getting me adjusted to these fentanyl patches that I wear 24/7. The pain level is down to around 2 which is a miracle. It is wonderful. I can't even tell you how great it is... but, that is not my good news for today.

I was diagnosed 1 1/2 years ago with emphysema. Last time I had a chest x-ray, I had emphysema.

Today, I do not have emphysema!

I do have bronchial asthma. I knew that already. Doctor says my lungs are clear, I do not have emphysema. My lungs are clear. omg how does that happen? She has no way to explain it to me. So, she just smiles and say.... "You do not have emphysema, we need to take that out of your chart." I don't think this happens much. I really don't think this ever happens!

I quit smoking almost a year ago. April 11. That is when I started vaping. I do not know what to say. I am blown away.

She has tried several times to vape...but she is completely opposed to anything larger than a cigarette. Even egos! She is just not satisfied.

oh that's rough Mare.....what about those skinny ones...has she tried a disposable then she can try it and those are just as thin as a real cig..........oh I hope she does....if she just tried those...that's how I started..one of those ...and then you go from there..there are a lot of them out there and before you know it...everyone wants something bigger and stronger...but it's a start oh I'll be hoping for her Mare* see if she won't just try one of those thin disposables..bet she likes them too ...so sweet of you to keep trying...it's a great feeling ...I just got m girlfriend to switch and she started with those thin ones too*and she loves them.. {{{{{hugs}}}}
