I used to vape 2 or 3 PVs alternately with different flavors in them. That did it for me unless I chain vaped hard for way too long. These days I vape mech mods and rebuildables. They have enough power to let me vape the same thing for quite a while before I lose the flavors all together, but it's still possible.

As for a remedy once it hits, don't vape for a couple of hours, or really reduce how often you vape. In the same vein, vape unflavored for a while. Both of these just give your taste buds time to recover from the over exposure. This works for me, YMMV.

I get the vapor tongue often. I have come to the conclusion that it has nothing to do with my tongue. It is my sinuses. If I have a stuffy nose I cannot taste. For me that is in the mornings right after I wake up. After I start moving around, things clear up.

I believe there is more input from the nose in tasting food than from the tongue. I would say that even more nose input is involved in the 'flavor' we sense from vaping than tongue input. Vaper's nose is probably a better term than vaper's tongue, but good luck to anyone who wants to try changing that one

Ryedan is right. I still get it ocassionally even rotating flavors. What I've noticed is I get it when I have dry nose. There must be a correlation between vaper's tongue and dry nose. No matter how much I drink, I still get that... sometimes its actually painful. Ayr gel in the nose helps. I remember an experiment in Bio class in school. We had to taste mashed up apples and onions separately with our noses held shut and we couldn't tell the difference between them... didn't know which was in our mouth... so sense of taste is affected by the nose.

I think I may have this:confused: Just about every juice today tastes like crap or like nothing at all. I can smell the goodness blowing out my nose but no flavor in my mouth.

I tasted around 20 flavor samples and hated them all at the local b+m. With the faces I made, I don't think they'll want me back anytime soon. LOL!

Wonder if I should try cinnamon again? Maybe that will perk up my buds.
