I was out of my current country of residence until today so I just finally got my hands on the vs DNA200.
Pardon my over-enthusiastic response but this was worth the wait. I joined ECF in 2010 so I figure I've been at this for about 6 years. This is the experience I've been after since I started.
I was very satisfied with my rdna40 but the problem was I just couldn't get any dual coil setup to perform like a single nickel coil on my subtank mini. It would heat up too slowly or need some primer puffs to start producing decent clouds. This thing is different - frankly it's kicking my ....
A few problems I had to start off:
1. The coil I had on the 40 was giving harsh burnt hits even at 240F. I couldn't seem to dial in a cool vape until later in the day when it just wimped out and wouldn't give a warm vape even at 500. I think I burned out the coil. I must have attached it hot or something. Willing to blame myself for this considering the awesome vape I'm getting now.
2. Some of my tanks and rdas feel wobbly on top the 200. Maybe it's because of the more recessed 510 connector. I don't know... but it wobbles when shaken.
3. I had a mild panic attack when the fire button didn't glow red while charging. It turns out there's a battery% readout and charging indicator on the LCD now.
I can't believe I'm getting dizzy on 6mg liquid with temp limiting. I am a happy camper.
There are a few things to consider.
Compressed coils don't give a good temperature reading which is why most people use spaced. Also, most people feel like I do, I do not want to glow coils due to potential safety concerns.
With that being said with my DNA40 I have the same issue with priming depending on your build, You could go smaller gauges might help. Now the DNA200 is night and day because you can customize that time. I am running a single Clapton 26g wrapped with 28g and it heats up in no time, i've even backed it down from 200w to 100w on the priming setting or rampup what ever they call it.
