Just got off the phone with Vaporshark. They got my device back yesterday, and already repaired it. They said that the reason for the chip dying is because of the charging board in the dna 200 chip. Apparently they have been in contact with Brandon, at Evolve, about this issue, and seeing how to handle this. So looks like there will be another revision to the dna 200 board, according to vaporshark. Vaporshark also said that they repaired my device and the problem "shouldn't" happen again, but if it does that this is still covered under warranty, since this is a known issue at the moment.

So just a heads up to anyone that might have this happen to them.
Oh the joys of being an early adopter.

OK... For the guys who have received their devices using mail innovations... How long was the transit time?

I've never seen the expedited MI before. But, I have been extremely unhappy with the other MI style delivery methods. Is priority mail an extra dollar or two?

It's not even UPS or USPS's fault. It's the cheap vendors who use it as default and don't warn us.

I really think it's a sign of a bad vendor.
I was actually very surprised. I got the email earlier this week that it had shipped, and got it in the mail today. Got the shipment email Tuesday, UPS got it from Vaporshark Wednesday, got it from Florida to NY yesterday night and it was brought to my local post office early this morning to go out in today's mail.

One thing that surprises me about this mod is how light it is. It is lighter than any single 18650 mod that I have, including the rDNA40.

Just finished charging. It was at 55% when I got it and it took about 1/2 hr to charge. Nice.

It's stamped 9/14/15 inside the battery cover. I plugged it into Escribe and it looks like they actually put some thought into the config unlike my Hana V200 which was a stock default DNA200 board. It feels much better in hand than my V200 but not as good as my rDNA40. I've been vaping on a couple of DNA200's and this is no different other than the packaging. I like it. It'll probably spend a few days on desk duty until it's proven reliable and then it'll be my daily mod.

Yeah, I like how they actually set the Wh, and mod resistance unlike my flawless dna 200 as well. The profiles for a couple tanks they sell is probably a good call too, but those will be wiped out with my own once its done charging. I'm charging it the slow way the first time (just left it plugged into PC after checking out escribe).

For those less familiar with DNA200, you should definitely check/change the pre-configured VS profiles. From what I remember the first one has temp turned off which is probably not what most people want for their default setting.
If they're using Ni200, they'll know to turn on TP. I wiped out the profiles immediately but it was nice to see presets for the most common atomizers. Also, preheat was set to 30w, 5 punch and 1 sec so you don't need to connect to a pc out of the box to get a good vape. Looks like VS is the only one that actually put thought into the settings of the chip.

@footbag - how was it hacked?

I don't know how, but someone made a few calls from prison, got a couple rides on Lyft and had pizza on my CC company last night.

I'm not certain it's VS getting hacked, just that people mentioned it happening after making a VS purchase and it just happened to me.

Did they have the pizza delivered? lol, that would be pretty funny if they got caught with a stolen CC number from delivery pizza.

Thanks. Reason for asking. My Cc was hacked but no charges. They somehow were able to change my address and phone number on file. No idea how they did it and not sure if it was because of my VS purchase or from another online vendor.
