The battered and beaten warrior. After a few months of my vaporshark, I've dropped it multiple times, dinged it up good, and the pain started chipping in areas. It looked sad, real sad. A masterpiece that was flawed by scars of age. What to do? I decided to rough it up even more and give it a good ol beating.

I like it, the VS coating sucks, I have considered gutting mine and rawing the chassis, is that just aluminium underneath?

yeah, the indented part though that u can see in the last two pictures im not sure, I think it may be some kind of plastic, because I tried to rough up that part to get aluminum showing, but as u can see by the picture it just created indents and scratches, it either has a real thick layer of some kind of primer or clearcoat, or is plastic. It would be difficult to get rid of all the paint unless u use some kind of stripper though I think, i was peeling off scraps of aluminum when i was roughing it up, its real soft. and the little dot grips on the sliding door, trying to get rid of the paint between those raised bumps will be a pain in the behind, i think you will end up chopping off part of the raised bumps.

It's definitely not metal. Inductive charging won't go through metal.

The casing is aluminium. They work around the charging problem with a cutout in the side of the box, which is covered by the plastic plate on the side.

My rDNA40 looked horrible after only 2 months of use, so i had it Cerakoted by a local Gunsmith. Looks pretty good, except the color came out darker than i had envisioned. Not a scratch on the coating after about 6 weeks of heavy use. By the looks of it, it's going to last rather well.
