I fully agree with that Darkstorm, the general sense of community and overall kindness of this world we call ECF has overwhelmed me at times! No other forum on the internet that I've ever seen has such kind people, most are full of mad mods, crazy spammers, fanboys ect. OK, OK here we have extreme provari fans sometimes, but at least they are still nice and sensible still

I'm so glad I found ECF, without the support and friendliness of this place I'm sure I'd still be stuck on the stinkies too!

I'm sorry for us all that we had to bring up bad thoughts to reply to this thread, I've been kinda bummed ever since I read everyone's post and started thinking of my loved ones too. So I really do feel bad for everyone here, and you are all in my prayers this week! Keep your chins up, and know that we wont be going out like that, and we'll do our best to further help everyone else we know that's still a slave to smoking.

Rock on ECF and all whom live within, you are the kind and ever-loving beast that will never die, your soothing rhythmic heart is what keeps us all afloat in vaporland!!

Thank you Hokus! We are in the third week of this contest and I have loved the submissions so far, some have brought tears. I can relate to many of those who have posted and am grateful to be a part of peoples lives in such a life changing decision. I have a well paying IT job that pays the billls. In truth my career satisfaction comes from helping addicted smokers find this alternative. I was finally able to honor the promise I made to my father on his death bed, I have quit smoking. I derive satisfaction from helping others find this same path.

I would love to see my sister quit smoking. She is has Leukemia and she keeps arguing with me that it costs too much to buy the set ups. I have tried to explain it to her that for the cost of 1 carton of smokes, it would cover the kit and juice for a month.
She just doesn't believe it. She is too tired all the time and won't research it. This I understand with her cancer but she would feel so much better.
Both our parents died of Cancer and both were smokers.
Mom with Lung Cancer and Dad with Gastric Cancer.
My mother lived with me for the last year of her life and I watched her writhe in pain and suffocate slowly.
It was very painful for her and for me to watch and try to help her. I promised mom that I would quit and I did!

My sister the only family I have left except for my immediate family.
I really don't want her to suffer.

So if I won, this is who I would give it to.

I'd like to convert my good friend and neighbor Jane. She's stubborn. She used to come to my house for coffee and smoke with me all the time. Now that I've been vaping and no smoking in the house, she doesn't stop in much anymore and only for a few minutes. We have to go outside while she's here because she's a chainsmoker like I used to be. (Now I'm a chain vapor lol)
Her husband has cancer and he quit smoking after now being a survivor and Jane still hasn't quit. It's such a hard habit to break

Thank you darkstorm. I love the way vaporers have come together in this common cause to better health. I pray that whoever ends up with these kits will have the same success stories that we have and will keep the PIF chain going.

Bump for Darkstorm's generous contest!

Hopefully someday in the future we'll only have joyous stories of getting people into vaping!! Analogs are tough though, and BT is even worse, so I'm sure it'll be MANY decades before we see analogs disappear. Until then, I will be praying for all the families of ECF members who still have loved ones struggling with the addiction, and try to help everyone I know to get away from the terrible grip of analogs!

My baby sister, my only sister, my only sibling and the only one I have left of our immediate family has emphysema and COPD. She has several other problems but these are the worst of them. Our dad died from lung cancer and emphysema when I was 21. He first got it that I knew about when I was 16. It was horrible and painful to watch. I was his baby and he was my hero. For the last five years he struggled for every single breath. My mother died two years ago with lung cancer. She never smoked one single cigarette. I have my daugter and her husband vaping and they are going strong. My little sister has resisted me. The other day, she told me if I could find something that would not make her cough, she would do it. I would love to get this for her.

I would like to win this kit and PIF it in honor of my friend Joanie, as a memorial to her here on ECF. She died last month, totally unexpectedly, with no warning. I had just sent her a complete newbie starter kit, with Ego Twists, juice, cartos, etc. that I had been buying up in the classies just for her. It appears I was too late....probably many years too late.

Well, the package got delivered but I never heard back from her. That's when I knew something was wrong.

2 days later I was notified by her family of her passing. She had smoked for over 30 years and cigarettes had done their ugly deed and strangled her circulation system and liver with toxins. I told the family to give the kit I bought for her to someone else in their community or at church who they wanted to help quit.

Anyway, if I win this, I will treasure chest it or just give it away in new members forum, in her name and honor, to a new vaper / new ECF member...."from Vapertrailz and Joanie"!

It would just mean a lot to me to honor her in this way. She was an upbeat, wonderful person and loved by many and she was a giver, thru and thru, so she would be delighted that something was being given away in her honor. She loved to give gifts and was the softest hearted gal I've ever known. And loved horses and dogs, too.

I would love to see my hubby make the transition to vaping. He currently smokes around 2 1/2 packs a day, and is starting to see the effects of it on his health. I myself have started the transition, and little by little, I'm making pretty good progress. I'm already starting to see some pretty positive changes in my health, and would love to be able to share this with him. I keep trying to tell him of the benefits to vaping over smoking, and that since he is the best thing to happen to me other than my children, I'd like to be able to keep him around for a few years. I think that once he tried it, he could probably stick with it. The trick will be getting him to try it in the first place.

I simply cannot WAIT to give this kit away in her honor. I will want it to go to a vaper that is brand new. Joanie is still giving, even though she's no longer on the terra firma with us to do so, she would LOVE this idea though, and love Vaportrailz for being such generous souls!

Don't be sad though, she lived a great life and brought a ton of happiness to her family, friends, and to retired race horses (thoroughbreds) that she rescued .......they are still enjoying themselves out in the pastures at her farm in Wyoming.
We don't live forever, but it's what we do while we're here that keeps us "alive forever" in the hearts of others.

I have been trying to get my brother to quit smoking and chewing and switch to e-cigs. My brother and his significant other have two kids with another one on the way. I keep trying to convince him to do the switch to save him and his kids, however several years ago he tried those gas station e-cigs and had a bad experience, on top of that he considers the initial start up cost to be too much at once. I have done all of the research and provided a list of what he needs that has the prices and websites but it still did not work and he could not make the initial investment. I have a budget myself but I have plans to slowly purchase what he needs little by little, but I hate seeing him light up a cigarette and I wish I could get him setup faster.

You can provide all the information one needs but they remain scared of it until you put it in their hands. That is what I experience with family and co-workers.
