Vapour and my cat

My cat used to hate it while sitting on my knee, and I'd accidentally blow smoke on him. Now he can be sitting there and I can engulf him in vapour, and he doesn't bat an eyelid ! I think that's a good sign, as animals sense nasties far easier than us.

Something to bear in mind is that PG is toxic to cats. I'm not sure the quantities involved in vapour would have a huge effect, but its certainly not safe to use in their food (it is used in other animal food).

This is something we've noticed with our two. The boy particularly HATED tobacco smoke - if you lit up when he was on your lap he'd jump off straight away and throw you one of those withering looks over his shoulder.

I'd say we still avoid breathing the vapour directly onto them, just seems polite - but they don't seem to mind it at all. The only downside is they don't get to watch smoke curling from the end of our analogues any more. Cats always seem to be fascinated by these examples of turbulence and chaos in action - even if they loathe the smell!

My one lap cat freaks at the e-cig. She freaks just seeing the end light up and then runs for it when I exhale.

I don't believe so but the nicotine can be lethal if they get a hold of any liquid.

I've got 2 dogs myself, you can't be too careful with this stuff.
