Variable Mod Help please

Hi I am building a variable mod well I say building, trying is probably the right word!
Can anybody put me in the right direction with a link on how to build one or what parts I need, because, I am having no joy in the UK with parts and help.

check the modders thread, i just saw somthing about VV mods on there and i think a tutorial so check that out and hope you find what your looking for.
