Variable Voltage Circuit

Anyone know where I can find a diagram for a VV circuit? I want to build my own mod and while I'm pretty mechanical I am electronics-stupid.

I want to build a 3V to 5V. Any help is appreciated.

If this is already on the forum somewhere please forgive. I tried searching but no luck.

Where did you get your 100 uf caps? I checked Digi-key but didn't have much luck except for the tantalum gold at $7 ea.

Thanks breaktru and prophetz! Great stuff. I found a circuit using the 8100 chip but that was the problem...it was labeled 8100 like I'd know WTF that is. Thanks guys, big help with the part numbers.

Do you know a good source for those regulators?

I'm also going to add a voltage indicator I found at madvapes. It's kinda bulky, know where I might find a smaller one? I'm usually pretty good at finding things but this mod is killing me.

Hey calypso I found the 100uf 16v caps on a soundblaster soundcard I had lying around cost=0 pennies if you have any old powersuply's or motherboards and add on cards look em over you just may find what you need. I also got my pot off a powersuply. the only things I had to buy were the batterybox,batterys ,switch and 510 connector everything else I recoverd from old pc parts.

Well I got pretty irritated trying to figure out how to get a free sample like so many did. Thankfully, I deciced to drink beer until it seemed damn cheap and ordered the f-ing thing. Man, I'm ready to build this thing already...
