Ok I lied, I have a lot of questions because im a newb and curious about everything.

First off, is there a Variable resistor to adjust voltage that you DONT need some little screw driver for? maybe button clicks or a wheel I can turn with my thumb or something? (trying to plan on making my first mod)

Also, where can I buy Pos/Neg wires? I looked at MV but cant find the right wires.

Also, anyone experienced and willing to explain stuff to me further and have Skype or some other IMing program? I need help learning, about to lay down the investment of buying tools and want to get this stuff right. I plan on being a ADDICT! I havent even built a mod and am looking at everything with "Oh shi* that could be a cool mod" eyes

A lot of wires/resistors/capacitors/diodes/switches/battery terminals/led's can be salvaged from old electronics or purchased at radioshack, ebay, Electronic Components Distributor | DigiKey Corp. | US Home Page, and Analog, Embedded Processing, Semiconductor Company, Texas Instruments. An old computer is a gold mine. Here are the basics for tools: decent soldering station, alligator clips(heat sink for soldering), helping hands, dremel, screwdrivers, wire strippers/cutters, multi meter, solderless breadboard, and mini pliers. Do research before jumping into anything there are a lot of good ideas already out there start small.

That board is HUGE, 37 x 37mm thats 1.46" x 1.46" are you planning on attaching an altoids box to the battery case?

Thanks for the advice! I was going to make a Altoids box mod, hopfully VV using 2 14500s using this Transparent Red 2xAA Battery Box with On/Off Switch, a 510 connection Shorty 510 Extension and Connector and this DC-DC Converter Board Voltage Regulator Stepdown Module | eBay with this switch Mini Push Button Switch -- Black

edit: going to sleep so I wont be responding for at least 8 hours, but thanks for any help in advance! night guys

Will that work?

They are really called potentiometers or pots for short. They also do come in thumbwheels or some even have a dial like alot of volume controls they are potentiometers. They also come in a IC chip form that you can adjust with a push button switch.

Wires don't come in positive or negative really . You just pick the colors you want to make positive and negative. But mostly green & black is used for negative and red and yellow are the main ones for positive. Although you really can use what ever colors you want just dont mix them up and start a electrical fire. It is really better to go by the colors i talked about then if someone else works on your stuff they would more then likely know whats what.

IF you ask me this is a variable resistor. But i guess it really doesn't matter what you call the pot

didnt realize it was that big, I guess I should go with the Rev2 kit from MV?
