I used variable voltage for a few years on Provari's (a variable voltage only regulated mod).

I currently use variable wattage on my RX200 regulated mod. I see no appreciable difference between VV or VW, they both get you to the same spot by using a different power formula.

I've never used joules, or temp control, even though my RX200 is TC capable. I've read some health concerns with using nickel wire.

Yeah its the exact same thing.

Personally I far prefer VV for two reasons, on the mods I make anyway. First, the VV mods I make are next to impossible to change the setting on accidentally. Far more importantly I tend to build my coils to work well around 3.7V to 4V and almost never have to even make an adjustment on my VV mods.

What that means for me is that if I pull of an RDA I built to run at 60W and slap a Kayfun built to run at 14W, it doesn't matter. I just hit the button and get the vape I'm after every time without worrying about anything until the low voltage cut off tells me the batteries need charging.

On a side note, since I find I'm just not adjusting the voltage for months at a time, I've taken to using a different potentiometer on my builds and leaving it inside the case making for a cleaner looking mod with only a button and 510 connector to worry about on the outside.
