I have been using a Variable Voltage Box mod and have a question.

Some times when I push the button it will not fire, but if I turn it off and on it works.

I think that it may be due to the batteries sensing the voltage or resistance and cutting off the power for some reason.

Another possibility is a voltage cutoff system in the Box mod itself.

Any ideas as to what is going on?

I've had the best luck with AW IMR's and am switching everything over to them when my old batteries need replacing. They are a safer chemistry and don't need protection circuitry so there's less to go wrong. They have a lower mah rating though so they need recharging a little more frequently. But they also have a higher discharge rate so they produce vapor more quickly allowing you to use shorter hits. That's been my experience anyway.
