Variables going into getting a getting draw from an ecig cigalike?

As my turbo journey continues I find I will not be spending much time with cigalikes. I have now spent enough time with them to think they are - ok for easy, compact, on the run use, but they generally can't deliver a very satisfying result. EMMV. But, I'm seeing something interesting. The disposable hookah pen I have actually has a better draw then the refillable cigalike.

What variables go into this for these very small devices? I'm asking because I am surprised the disposable is out performing the refillable. Significantly.

One is the typical cigalike you see from a variety of vendors, the other is disposable pen from Clearette.
