I am trying to make a smoke machine for a puppet stage using some E-cigs (I don't smoke). After experimenting with one disposable, I ended up purchasing a VapoRite KR808 kit from Good Prophets.

I had two reasons for choosing this model. One reason was that the juice cartridge and atomizers were one unit that only cost $8 for a pack of 5. But, the main reason was that it was possible to blow on the .... end and smoke would come out the mouth end. A similar test on the 810 didn't produce any smoke.

I realize that there are small holes for air intake at the base of the atomizers. But, in the case of the battery we tested, you could blow backwards, and enough air got through for my purposes. The volume of air exiting the mouth piece was less, but this made it convenient to attach an air hose to the cigarette and generate air by stepping on an air bulb or from a fish tank aerator.

Now here is my issue.... the 2nd battery that came with the kit doesn't work this way. If I blow on the .... end, the battery will activate, but no air blows through.

I realize that I can put the cigarettes inside an airtight box, with the mouth piece sticking out, and then put the air hose into that box. But, obviously it is easier to not have to.

Does any one know if there is supposed to be air flow through or not? Are there more than one manufacturer of the battery that may have gotten put together in the same kit? (they look identical)

Is there a type of battery that is definitely manufactured to allow this "blow through" feature that I want?
