Velvet Cloud Unflavored Nic Base...Anybody have any experience with it?

I was thinking of buying 500ml of the unflavored nic base that Velvet cloud sells. Has anyone tried it? I wanted to buy it in 6mg nic and then order 500ml of PG from Wizard so I would have 1000ml of unflavored 50/50 in 3mg for around $40.00 shipped. Then I could play with some flavorings and see what I could come up with. My thinking is that Velvet Cloud would do all the hard work by mixing the nic for me but Im not sure it is cost efficient. What do you all think? I'd like to give DiY a try and Im thinking this may be a good way to start. Gotta buy some FA flavorings as well.

I don't have any experience with that vendor. I just checked here : 6mg Unflavored Nicotine Base for e-liquid/e-juice - ecigExpress 1 litre of 6 mg is $30 (look for coupons). If you get unflavored base such as you are contemplating, when you add the flavors (usually PG based) you will dilute the final mix of juice, making it higher pg (and diluting the nic by just a bit). FA is highly concentrated so it would effect the juice the least.
