So I am still new to this Forum and I got on tonight to complain about a store which was my local store until I moved selling me a clone and not saying a word. Which I am sure happens a lot but when I asked them why I wasnt informed they told me that they bought directly from joyetech and couldn't explain it. I am no ones fool. Well I guess I was theirs for a while. The whole deal is I have been expected to pay S H to joyetech to the store I originally bought the thing from and back both ways to replace a product that if I had been told was a clone would have never got sent to Joyetech. to begin with. I emailed the owner of the company he owns 9 - 10 stores where I am from and I didn't want to go about putting up negative reviews w o giving him a chance to right the wrong. Now keep in mind I already sent this thing to whom I thought was the manufacturer just to find out they didnt make it. I didnt make a big stink of it I called the store let them know what was going on. I was told well send it to use we are going to have to open it up and see if you did something to void the warranty or if whats wrong with it is covered. hold on hold on so pay more S & H I could have easily bought another one at this point especially after all the S&H 4 times total. It doesnt seem right to me maybe I am being unrealistic. What do you think? I am not putting this companies name up basically because I feel they should have the chance to right their wrong before I say anything negative about them. Str8 up if your selling Clones Tell your customer let them decide for themselves!! The quality might nor be the same!!:vapor:

I was perusing an online store once. There was a category called "Vision" products.

In there, I found a clearomiser called Vivi Nova "type xyz" I bought it....

Roll forward two days.... filled it, attached it to my battery, turned it on and got a flashing light show. $20 battery - dead.

$10 clearo + $20 battery. In the bin. The vendor had no interest. The actual "page" did not say Vision. More fool me.

I don't shop there anymore. $100s lost to the vendor. I think that's a lose-lose, is it not?

Hey there Japple...Have you been to Diamond Vapers over there in J-ville yet??? Nice shop and very nice people. You can bring your coils and stuff and he'll let you do all your rebuilding in his shop, which is really nice!!! (But buy something from him first to get free-reign of all his tools!!) Oh, and your first visit you will get a free 15ml bottle of Mt Baker Vapor liquid. Enjoy!

Definitely !! I want to Stay SHopping with this Vendor they were my first store They are from my home Town... I am Home Sick & they Make my Favorite E-Juice. Str8 Up I feel I should be Sent Another Battery. I let them Know that if I had been Informed it was A Clone I would of Never Wasted my TIme Even Contacting JoyETech. Maybe my expectations are high but I Spend or I should say Was Spending At least $50 a Week at The Vap Store!
Vape Store Owners Need To Remember That There Is A Lot Of Troube You Can Get Into For Selling Counterfit Stuff. Someone Will Get Sick Of It One Day. I Cant Post Links But I Know The Place NOst oF these Come From. They Sell For 4-7 Dollars A piece For A Lot of 100. The Only Thing I Didn't See Being SHipped Over From This Super Vendor were Provari's

I'm all for clones, in fact I own quite a few of them. I don't have a problem with vendors selling clones, as long as they aren't trying to pass the off as originals. I don't necessarily think they should have to tell you, like if you bought a Kayfun Lite for $50, I would say it's safe to assume that it's a clone. If they are selling a KFL clone for $150, on the other hand, that is complete BS.

That is the risk you take when buying anything from a local shop or online. Not all the blame can be pasted down to the vendor if they choose not to inform a customer if a product is not legitimate or some knock off copy. This is where research is important because that fall onto the consumer to know what they are buying and what the quality of the product is. For instance, I research as much as I can about a RBA before buying one. I look up reviews of the legit RBA, the clone RBA, and if there are any knock off copies of the RBA. Try to notice mainly the markings and how the RBA is made for each type (legit, clone, knock off). When online, I will try to look at pictures the best I can of the RBA and then decide from that which increases my risk of not getting what I think I am buying. In store, I ask to personally handle the RBA and examining it closely to find specific features or markings to differentiated from a legit version, clone, or knock off.

It all comes down to doing your research before spending the money for a product. If you don't research what you are buying then no one is to blame but yourself. It will happen from time to time but next time you know to do a little more research.

I agree. Do your research first. But if I got-got then I move on.

I didn't realize it was a clone sent it to the company that I thought made it and was told they didn't make it but on the other hand the Vape store was completely cool and understanding and even through in a free bottle of liquid with a new battery. I dont want to put their name up here because I dont want to cost them any business. They are top notch in my book. They basically said in an email that if I wasnt happy they weren't happy and they didn't want that. I will be staying with this store just because of this one event!! I wish there was a way to name them and praise them but I worry it might draw negative attention to their store when I only want positive attention for them
