I'm not sure what you actually call it but it was a chap in Louisiana who first introduced me to it roughly 7 years ago.

I'll give you Webster's definition........
"lagniappe or lagnappe n. 1. a small gift given by a merchant to a customer for making a purchase. 2. a gratuity; tip"

I really enjoy the sellers who take a moment to do this. It may be a marketing plot but I'm lead to believe it's just a gift for choosing them & their way of saying "thanks!". I've purchased from half a dozen so far & only 2 have done this with my order.

To those that provide lagniappe, I say

THANK YOU

I whole heartedly agree Toronto_Mike. I think all but one vendor has slipped something extra in with my orders, and they have all gotten repeat business from me. The one that didn't, meh not so much. I don't even think of them anymore. In this very tight, competitive market, it's always the little extras that seem to make a big difference!

And I second your shout out to those who practice lagniappe! (And thanks for teaching me a new word too!)

I agree that the vendors who provide lagniappe (thnx for the awesome word) are being smart. Canada still has a very young market, with very little brand loyalty so far. What I've seen some U.S. suppliers do is to have a "refer-a-friend" program, wherein you get a percentage of your friend's purchase, or a flat credit towards your next purchase. When it comes down to it, all of us on this forum are somewhat acting as salespeople. WE do it because of the joy it brings us to promote vaping in the community. What happens is of course the vendors profit from us telling our friends and acquaintances: "hey ya gotta check out X vendor, here's their website".
So how 'bout it Canadian Suppliers, maybe a little "referred by:___________" line at the bottom of the order forms?

Ok I will try and use it in a sentence. My last order netted me some sweet lagniappe from a great Canadian supplier. But seriously my last order I received 3x6ml bottles of juice and some drip tips was it expected no was it appreciated and will I be repeat customer most definetly. To me it wasnt so much the lagniappe as it was the time this supplier took to see what I have previously ordered and compare to what I ordered and send me new things based on my flavor profile to try. Good for both parties :)
