I would like to start a thread dedicated to listing vendors that have a quality control in place when mixing their e-liquids. Please list any vendors you know that have something in place; and list what information they have provided?

Examples: Quality testing, Dedicated lab, Gluten Free, Additive free, US made, artificial colors/additives, BPA, what ever information you can find.

Please try to keep this as straight forward and easy to read as possible!

I will start with my favorite vendor:

VIRGIN VAPORS
-US MADE
-US Nicotine
-Dedicated e-liquid Lab
-Gluten Free
-Nut free (unless noted)
-Sugar free
-Kosher
-Vegan
-Third Party Organic Certified
-Glass bottled (BPA free)

Our e-liquids are hand mixed in the USA in a dedicated e-liquid laboratory. All ingredients are kept under refrigeration until you place an order and your e-liquid is created to your specifications. We wash all utensils in an industrial stainless steel sink, separating PG, VG and nicotine to prevent cross contamination for our customers who are allergic to certain components or are looking for a nicotine-free option. Our e-liquid kitchen is never used for anything else but making e-liquids in order to guarantee purity and cleanliness. We even wash our hands with organic soap!
Our nicotine is 100% U.S.A made from hand picked tobacco leaves grown in North Carolina. We never use nor have in our e-liquid kitchen any nicotine over 48 mg for the safety of both our customers and ourselves. All of our flavorings are third party certified organic. They do not contain nuts, gluten or sugar and are both vegan and Kosher. We also package in glass, not plastic, to prevent chemicals such as BPA leaching into your e-liquid. While all of these things cost us a bit extra, we simply do not skimp when it comes to quality. We promise, you will taste the difference!

For phrases like "quality control" or "quality testing" to have any real meaning, I think they have to represent an agreed-upon standard or definition. Is there such a standard yet?

Remember when the words like "lite" could mean anything a food manufacturer wanted them to mean before the FDA got involved & set a definition? That's kind of what I'm thinking about here.
Just my 2 cents.

cheesewiz-very good point. I don't think there is any industry standard. I guess even knowing that they have some quality control in place is a positive though. For me, I think the even bigger deal of all of these items is: Do they have a dedicated lab. I dislike thinking that some of these I am purchasing could be made in less than sanitary places....someones basement etc. And I like to know that the ingredients are US made. Not sure how any of this can be verified though, other than a vendor at least putting out there that they are stating the above.

That's kind of what AEMSA's about, but AEMSA can piss some people off, though, too...

Great thread. This stuff IMO needs to be talked about more. I try not to buy from a manufacturer who does not at least mention their standards on their site!

From their site:
Our mixing and bottling area is sealed and pressurized with a dual 3 stage HEPA filtered air system to control air pollutants down to 0.03 microns. Authorized personnel have to pass through a changing room (where full head to toe coverings and safety glasses are donned), followed by a pass-through air shower room before entering the main mixing area.
Find out more from the facts section from their site.

Well Ahlusion is ISO 9001 certified.

From Wikipedia: ISO 9000 is a series of standards, developed and published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), that define, establish, and maintain an effective quality assurance system for manufacturing and service industries. [1][2] The standards are available through national standards bodies. ISO 9000 deals with the fundamentals of quality management systems, [3] including the eight management principles upon which the family of standards is based. [3][4] ISO 9001 deals with the requirements that organizations wishing to meet the standard must fulfill.
