In the requirements it says I must have 20 posts. Does this mean 20 new threads or do replies count? I'm just wanting to be sure. Sorry if it's a dumb question.

Replies count. I only know this because I'm verified and have only started one thread.

Look at your post count under your name at the left. It shows 273 as I type this, requirement is 20 there.

When number of posts are discussed, that's the number in question.

Yeah, I am really new, but have applied also. I like the idea of the verification process. It will be a great benefit to be able to do business with people and not worry so much about fakes.

Just a point for both of you: Verifications are typically only worked once a week, on the weekend. If you guys just put in you may not see anything done with your verification until next weekend. Volunteer army - so it takes a bit of time. Also, you don't get a big whizz-bang notice about it so just pay attention to your status lines below your name. (Either on posts or on your Profile page.) Once it's done it's done and just shows up as Verified Member under your name.
