I recently got a magma clone and started dripping. I love the flavor I get off of it (28 gauge, parallel, .9 ohms). I'm thinking about getting another rda that's good for flavor (I don't care about clouds at all). I think I'm up for the challenge of building on the veritas, but it's so expensive! Are the clones any good? Are there other flavor chasing rdas people recommend?

I have a lot of RDAs, and veritas and magma are some of my least favorite. But I get massive flavor on all of my RDAs, even the cloud-chasers... probably because I build them at low resistances, so there is a lot of vapor, and flavor with it.

The issue with the veritas is that there is a delrin spacer right up at the top where the coil goes, so if you are building very low or pushing a lot of power at your coil, you have a chance of melting that thing. Other than that, its kind of a wonky setup for building where you trap the wire with a nut at the top of the positive post. If you are planning at staying at .9 ohm and don't mind fiddling with your build for longer than usual, veritas is fine. Otherwise, there are many many RDAs that you can get great flavor with. In fact, you can get great flavor with all of them... some of them are just designed to be built at low resistances (they work best with a lot of power fed to them).

Hi 3mhmama and welcome to ECF!

I have a Veritas clone. Came without an air hole drilled in the cap. I could have returned it, but I have a drill press and it was a simple job for me to mark and drill an air hold.

It is a bit fiddly getting the wires trapped under the screw heads as they are rounded on the bottom. I hear that's the same for the original as well. All in all, I'm very happy with it. YMMV.

Hope it helps and Happy vaping!

I've tried subohming using the Atlantis and the Subtank Mini. I have mixed feelings about them. Some of the juices I've got tasted great, but others didn't. Sometimes subohming got a little too intense for me too. I don't need a lot of throat hit, so the .9 build I put in the Magma is serving me well. Before that, I had duals set up at .4, but like I said, sometimes the hits were more intense than I would like.

Given my preferences, what rdas and builds would you recommend?
