Very disappointed in my new ego twist

I have one that's like that. Take a knife and cut a couple of grooves into it for to get something to hold on to when you turn it. Works like a champ. I did mine right over where the marks were for 3.4, 3.6, 3.8, etc. Left the numbers alone. A steak knife with close serrations works really well. I'm considering doing it to my other battery, too. I'm a mechanic, so sometimes my hands are a little oily when I use mine and it just slips and slides.

The switch on the bottom is too hard to turn. The only way I can make an adjustment is to put on my silicone oven mitts in order to get a good enough grip. Is this normal or should I send it back?

I think I have about six of these (backups for my backups) and no problem turning any of them, definitely not normal, my only complaint about the twist is that it's hard to read.

They really should knurl the twist knobs on these things. You could just put a dot on the knob and the numbers on the body, opposite of what you see now.

Here is something I posted awhile back...

Very Cool.

I wish Stuff like that was Available when I Switched. All we had was 98mAh batteries and Attys that Held 9 Drops. LOL

Here is a Tip that you might find Helpful.

I find it hard to read the Numbers on the Dial/Body of my Twist/Spinner except in Very Good Light.

So what I did was to set the Wheel an my Average Voltage. Then I took a Jewelry File and made a Very Small Notch in the Wheel inline with the Power Button. A notch just big Enough to get my Thumb Nail into.

Now when I want to increase the Voltage, I just put my Thumb Nail into the Notch and turn it to the Right. To Lower the Voltage, turn it to the Left.

Makes it very Easy to adjust Voltage without having to be in Bright Light or eve looking at the Unit.
