Very hard draw on 901

I just got a new 901 kit from dietsmokes (very good experience). This is my first e-cig , but there definitely seems to be something wrong with one of the batteries.

When one battery is connected, I can inhale fairly light, the led lights up, and it's producing adequate vapor.

On the other hand, with the second battery connected, it feels like trying to suck a marble through a straw to get it to do anything. The led will light up, it just takes a pretty hefty inhalation. I tried connecting it to a second atomizer and the same thing happens. I just received everything last night, and the troublesome battery worked perfectly fine until midway through this morning. I have since recharged it for a few hours, the symptoms remain.

Is it dead already? Should I just give up and exchange it, or is there something I can try to do to fix it? My other battery is charging and i'm in a staredown with my remaining analogs, I fear they will shortly win.

Appreciate any suggestions!

I am not an expert, but I say send it back! It sounds like a dud, order and extra while you are at it. Not being mean, but it's better to have two or three working batteries and atomizers then not. Those analogs are watching!

Mine did the exact same thing & I thought it's characteristic of the ecig. Just started searching what's up with the hard draw...so is it the batteries???
The very first draw & vap was great with both batteries & atomizers but afterwards was a real hard draw on both.

You can get an inconsistancy amongst batteries. And often it can be caused by us. If a cart is over filled, it can leak a little onto the battery, so its always worth cleaning the battery up a little.

You do this by cleaning around the brass fittings with a Q tip, cotton bud etc., and do the same with the atomiser.

Also, the switch can stick, now that switch is internal, so gently insert the tip of a straightened out paper clip and work it around the inside,( only at the very tip of the battery) if the switch is sticking you will feel it release.

Failing that, tap the battery against a hard surface.

Check out the review section, you should find a few vids on caring for batteries and atomisers, there is one by Igetcha69 which is most helpful, if I can find it I will post the link to it.

If that all fails to make a difference, then I would say you have a Dud. so speak with your supplier.

Thanks for the suggestions, I had looked at some threads about cleaning the battery, but assumed it should be ok since it stopped working pretty suddenly. I'll have to double check.

Didn't know about the paperclip trick, so will definitely try that out soon! Thanks for all the help so far.

I probably would have thought the same thing, but one of my batteries is still an easy draw after vaping all day today. You may have the same issue as me. The pull on my working battery is easier than a drag from an analog.

Make sure your finger isn't covering the hole.............

Definitely not covering up the hole, but if I do cover the hole with my finger, the led will light up with very little effort.

It almost seems as if the battery and atomizer are not making a good seal with each other. When inhaling on the "bad" battery, there is much more audible air intake, even when pulling from it lightly.

Visibly I don't see anything wrong though.
