Just received my first order from V4L, a manual passthru and a couple packs of cartomizers. I'm totally blown away by the flavor and vapor this thing produces!

I got a pack each of Hilton and French Pipe, 8mg. I wasn't pleased with the flavor of either initially, but it's growing on me. I've noticed that all Dekang flavors have an odd undertone to them, even unflavored; maybe it just takes getting used to.

A funny thing happened though; I accidently dropped one of my cartomizers in a sink of water. I gave it a good rinsing with Everclear to dispel the water, let it dry for a bit, then refilled it with JC Tenn Cured. Man, Tenn Cured has never tasted so good!

I decided to just try a passthru initially, but will definitely be getting a full kit soon. The passthru works great with my Kensington Battery Pack, so it's portable.

The only negative... sorry, but the repetitive-pattern Logo treatment looks pretty awful, IMO. My passthru looks like it's wearing very ugly pajamas. :p

 Love the ugly p.j. comment. Others feel the same way. Personally, it looks great on my pink manual battery -- makes the girly-girl color (what I wanted) look a bit more elegant. But it really is to each his own.

Glad you're liking the VK.

That's to be expected, my 510 is the same. I tend to use a battery only when it's not convenient to use the passthru.

Exactly...but I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how well the VK batteries work. I have not tried the manual battery yet but the auto is surprisingly good. Pretty sure I will order a manual with my next order. Gonna wait a few days to see if Steve gets his blank carts in...praying for that to happen..lol

It will grow on you. ;) lol I wouldn't care if it were lime green with pink and purple logo - it vapes like a dream so I am happy! You might want to try the platinum - I think of all the colors, that is the one where the logo is less noticible (Platinum with gold logo) That is what I ordered my brother in laws for that reason. Also - the extra long manual battery seems to put out more ommph then the regular battery, pretty close to the passthrough actually - I was amazed!

Welcome and happy vaping! :D

I am a vaping noob and was totally and massively pumped to see my order come today. Shipping was great and fast, even in the midst of V4L coping with an outage due to health problems. So that parts great!

I hooked up my USB passthrough and tried some apple right away. YOWZA that first hit was harsh! Maybe there is a burn off factor involved even with the cartomizers. I was scared that this wasn't going to be right for me. I've been fiddling around with a Liberty Stix e-cig for about a week now and wasn't entirely happy with it but loved the concept so bought the whole VK kit plus extras. So I've been educating and reading reviews and I expected a great throat hit but that was downright gasping! Needless to say it smoothed out fast and now I'm LOVING the apple and the cola. Dripped some RY4 into the old Liberty Stix too and that's great also. I DO NOT like the coffee flavor cartos one bit though, so far they seem pretty harsh and throat "burney", I'm thinking now I like sweeter stuff a bit more.

So in all, loving the equipment, thanks so much Steve and team for the great service with extras! OK, I think I need Coconut and Cappucino. Like, yesterday! Maybe Dr. Pepper too. Sooo, I will be placing another order soon soon soon.

Happy Day!!!:D

I use both Manual and Auto, the auot seems to have a slightly harder draw and I like that sometimes, but the Manual produces a ton more vapor (I also have what I think is a gen 1 automatic [orange LED] and it has an even harder draw). I didn't like the logos at first either, but it's grown on me and honestly, it could be pink and I'd still vape the hell outta it!

Does the extra long battery fit in the PCC?

I'm thinking I may want both manual and auto batteries.

They will be coming out with a PCC in the near future I believe! I am so waiting for that puppy! lol

I loved the auto batteries, but haven't touched them since they came out with the manuals! Keeping them though, you never know when they will come in handy. Also, when I let friends try my stuff I let them try them too to see their preference.

Hubby hates the logos too. I gave him one from another company that was solid steel. He tried it a few times and the decided the V4L one was better and has gotten past the logos now...LOL!

I agree that all juices taste better in a cartomizer. I refill mine with juices from all over, and regardless of where the juice came from, it tastes better in a cartomizer. Gotta love that!

In terms of the batteries themselves, I actually prefer the autos (with the exception of the super long, I deal with the button because it puts out vaper closer to my passthrough). I get longer drags off of the autos because I can outvape the cutoff on the manual. All that said, I actually invested in a portable usb battery (kensington) and a car usb converter so I can always have my passthrough. Cord or not - it's my favorite way to vape!

Welcome! Just thought I would chime in to let you know that if you aren't crazy about the coffee, the cappucino is very similiar - just a little more flavorful and sweeter. I personally LOVE the coffee and capp, but that's just me.
Steve & team are the absolute best, aren't they??

The chocolate is seriously a great vape! Sadly, they are out of it right now, but when they get it back in I am going to stock up! And yeah, the cappuccino is almost the same as coffee in terms of harshness. What strength are you vaping. I like the coffee and cappuccino in 16 - any higher then that and it is a bit harsh.

I got the cappuccino at 16, glad i got that strength! Also the marleboro, those were my great loves back in the day. Been smoking merit ultra lights for about 20 years, and my last carton cost me 60 bucks!
So even though I'm spending serious dollars i think it's well worth it not watching my money go up in smoke!
And you said the chocolate is great too? I LOVE chocolate! Please let me know when it becomes available if you think about it!

I've been becoming a pretty darn heavy analog consumer, to be honest(which I rarely am on this point) try upwards of 3 packs a day of lights:nah:
I smoked my LAST EVER analog today at 12:30 before the mail brought me the VK:D So far, not missing them a bit.
So I thought I better nic up good because I'm totally off analogs now, been weaning since I bought a Liberty Stix locally about a week ago. That product has decent taste but otherwise very inferior to the VK, and cartriges tiny and overpriced to the max. I am very committed to no more analogs, I'm a super crabby poor quitter, all the best medical science has plus tons of self help and support groups don't get me to stay quit, eight weeks was my best ever and left me very discouraged when I relapsed. I have loads of stress, single mom, special needs kids, etc. I need to stay healthy and smoking tar sticks doesn't help at all obviously. BUT it's hard to cope with life without my one guilty pleasure so I'm just deeeelighted to have found a new way to indulge!
I'm going with the cappucino, maybe chocolate, coconut, and might even try vanilla and ice cream to make the coffee a bit richer and sweeter. I'm going to step them all down to 16 or 11mg too, maybe 24 is too strong for me after all.
I'm already blending, right now I'm vaping a menthol / green apple mix, it's rich and good and not too harsh. Try it!
I'm sold totally on V4L, these guys are great and I'll be ordering more stuff within days for sure! Ok, maybe in the morning lol

Boy I hear you! I am a crabby quitter too! I quit once for 3 years but not a single day went by that I didn't think of and miss the cigs. Finally caved and went back to them! I think you will be amazed at how much better you feel after a few weeks of vaping, not smoking. I have a stressful job that I love, and I am normally a cheerful person, but when it all comes down on you, sometimes it is hard to remain calm. Since vaping, I am so much more cheerful! I mean I even FEEL cheerful in situations that normally would have me gritting my teeth and forcing a smile! It is hard to describe, but I just feel so much happier and healthier since I started vaping! I hope you will find it to be the same for you! ;) Congrats! And don't beat yourself up if you find yourself grabbing a smoke here and there at first. I smoked very lightly for 2 weeks before finally tossing away the cigs. The key is doing this at your own pace!
