That really wasn't it in this case. Great concept - the technology didn't exist to make it practical. We're talking about an original deign that considered using either a vacuum tube or a small incandescent lamp to generate the needed heat to produce vapor. Not a hugely practical design concept 50 years ago..

Did hear of this before, now this nice article, Thanks________
a vacuum glass bulb of sorts to protect the heating element inside (a miniature light bulb!), thereby the liquid will not actually touch the coil, causing shorts or gunk on the coil, prolonging the life.
Probably sounds like something we will eventually get to...
Concept was easy and of its time-- took this engineering gentleman's mind to develop the inhalation prototype..
then it got shelved - for the ones he showed it to were the wrong ones..
Brilliant --

That was a pretty good read, to bad the inventor hooked up with a company that only make cig-a-like vaporizers, other wise I'd of bought one. Wait what am I saying, edit: good thing he did hook up with a cig-a-like vender, otherwise I'd of been compelled to buy one, whoo, close one there. Still an interesting read for sure. Just goes to show you American invents something and first thing that happens, china clones it before it can be made here. lmao.
