Hi everyone! I'm new to vaping, and have yet to even order a decent e-cig. I was so anxious to try anything a few days ago that I went to the cigarette shop and bought a Square e-cig. Since then I have only had 1/2 of an analog, and didn't enjoy it much.
So far what I love about the vaping is that it gives that instant hit that satisfies the craving. For me, that is where all the pleasure of smoking lies. Things like nicotine patches don't work for me because it's just a steady, dull drip of nicotine. Where's the fun in that? With vaping, I get the craving, take 3-4 hits off the e-cig and I'm totally satisfied. It's crazy good!!!
I'm so excited about this option, and can't wait to get a real system. Research continues on that, so for now the disposable Square will hold me. Yesterday I told my mom, a 50-year smoker about this, and she picked one up too. Yay!!
I guess I don't have much to say - sorry! - but I'm just so psyched about this that I just had to put my two cents in. If there are any readers out there considering vaping, see if you local cigarette shop has any e-cigarettes. What I got was only $7.00, so it seemed like, why not? I know it's a cheap-o version, but it has given me enough, in fact, exceeded my expectations, so that I now know this is totally for me.
A portion of my next paycheck is earmarked for a really good e-cigarette starter pack - I'm thinking a 510 model. And oh man...I can't wait to try coffee flavor!
I love this forum - so much good info!

Welcome leamerhead, that's awesome! Congrats on your quit, I'm so happy your ready for your next purchase. I got my mom a e cig kit too after I started. It took her a month to fully quit but she did it. 45+ years for her.
If you don't mind me making a suggestion I'd like to say the 510's are great if you smoked under a pack per day. If you smoked more you might want to go to the next step up to the Riva/eGo. They are just a bigger version of the 510. So the batteries last much longer, but both are great starter kits. Again welcome and congrats!

I smoked for over 30 years; and I started out with a Puresmoke kit from the local tobacco shop. It was o.k, but I knew if I wanted to stick with it, I was going to have to move up. I bought a 510 starter kit from Liberty Flights. It was a real good deal; and they usually have good prices on their starter kits. I am now using the Ego; and loving it! One of the things I discovered with the liquids was that what I thought I'd like? I don't! I found that I like the fruity menthols and sweet tobacco flavors rather than the coffee or cappacino flavors (my preference in the beginning!) Experiment and have fun . . . Whatever you and your mom decide to use, good luck and welcome to the forum!!

Wow, the flavor thing is very interesting! Thanks for the input. It will be fun trying different things. I'm also curious about the plain old flavorless. This might be as much fun as shoe shopping!
I'm one of those freaks that enjoy flavorless juice on occasions. It's slightly sweet and nothing else. It's good to vape plain once you have OD on your favorite juice and start losing taste.

If you're looking to make that as small of a portion of your paycheck as possible, I saw that mypvshop.com has full 510 kits for 22 bucks... 33 bucks for an e-go.

I would also recommend the e-go rather than the 510. I'm pretty new as well, having started vaping about 6 weeks ago (not a single analog since!)... I found that the batteries just don't last long enough on my 510-T, so I wound up purchasing the e-go with 900mAh batteries last week. I'm VERY happy with how long the batteries last on it. :)

I've been wondering about the e-go and have not researched it yet, so this gives me a nudge in that direction. Thanks!

Welcome! I started with a 510 kit, now that I have been off cig's for almost 2 months I have moved myself to my next step, an eGo. Keep up the good work!

e-Go seems to get lots of praise...looking into it now. Two months seems like a dream, but I am beginning to believe it can be reality. Thanks for the advice.

I've been flamed for this before, but here I go again. I think most members here started with e-cigs that looked more like analogs. Lots of them are junk. The joye 510 is a good unit but you will not get the battery time and will probably end up with EGO style equipment. I suggest starting with the EGO and bypass the money spent on IMO lesser equipment. Good deals can be had at LIberty Flights and mypvshop.com. I'm sure there are other vendors that offer good deals but these are two I have dealt with many times and trust.

At these prices, I'd recomend buying two starter kits. You'll have spare batteries and a spare charger. Nothing worse than having only one charger and it dies.
