This should not be the way it is…but it is. I used VV stick batteries for about a year with no issue. I decided I wanted a VV/VW device an bought an MVP as well as a Vamo. Using settings that are in the Ohms Law sweet spot (1.8 coil, 7.0 / 3.5), I found it to irritate my throat…sort of like the day before you get a raging sore throat (using the same juice as I always have used and the same tanks). Switched back to sticks and while the flavor articulation is not what it might be, the throat irritation has gone away. What a I doing wrong?

while I know why it would be this way on the Vamo I do not know why this would be on the MVP. The Vamo uses 33.3 hz pulse with modulation at which point it is going from 6v to 3v rapidly which makes for a harsher hit than a flat dc signal. the MVP and your egos have a more flat dc signal coming out of them so 3.5v should feel like 3.5v

Might be the non-stick batteries are actually delivering stronger power to the device your using for the liquid. Ohms law is a guideline, not set in stone as to what the user actually prefers. If I went by Ohms law, I would be vaping at a higher setting than I like. I tend to dial my settings much lower than Ohms Law says I should be at.

Higher settings also give me a much harsher hit. Try a lower setting and gradually bring it up until you get to YOUR sweet spot.

Other things can also play into it, but you can try that and see if it helps. :)

I know there is a setting you are supposed to change as soon as you get your Vamo, can't remember exactly what it is though :-/. I think you hold the button on the left for 10 seconds and there are two options, one may be RMS I think. I'll have to google it if someone doesn't jump in here.

yes hold down the left button for like 10 seconds or more and it will change that setting. it is RMS and MEAN. you want it to say RMS. In my playing with a vamo I still find it harsher at say 3.5v than my DNA or provari at 3.5v (for instance I actually run a bit higher than that)

Another suggestion. Maybe you've found that you prefer a cooler vape. 1.8 ohm coils are going to burn hotter than say a 2.5 or 3.0 ohm coil and produce a much warmer (harsher ?) vape.

I use 2.5 - 3.0 ohm cartos with my variable voltage battery devices because I prefer a cooler vape, and use 3.5 - 4.5 volts settings. Low resistance carts give me a harsh hit on regulated mods - quite unpleasant.
