I have a hana mini v3. I was having trouble with it not always firing. once while it was on the usb charger it said check battery. after that it went dead. I got a new battery. it came with 1/2 charge. put it on charger. after a few hours, read check battery then went dead. red light remained on. I tried some different chargers and cables. nothing. so I got a new hana full v3 with vtc5. vtc5 came almost dead. charged in nitecore. put in new hana, showed full charge. I used it down to half, plugged into usb. after three hours still at half. tried the different chargers, cables from the first time and still no charge. all of them show the red light on the dead unit and the unit that won't go above half. oh, the outlet is live. I left them plugged in 24 hours and no charge.

we are talking about 4 chargers and 5 cables. is it possible they are all bad even though the red light is on on both hana's? is it possible the first hana with the misfires blew them all? what the heck, am I going nuts?

then, if I get it working there is the question of how low I ran these batteries.

thanks guys, I know this has to be an oddity.

figured it out sort of. the first hana is damaged/malfunctioning. not only will it not charge, it blows out every charger that is attached to it. put brand new charger on new hana, charged fine. put it on old hana and it rendered the charger dead.

yow!

At least you have it figured out.

hana is solid. sure I broke it. when they said they would charge for repair, seeing it is dead. I figured just get a new one off a friend. meanwhile I killed 5 $10 chargers.

at least nothing blew.up. i am lucky for that. these batteries like to go off sometimes.

i don't mind no one could help. i knew this was really weird.

Isn't the charger on a Hana mod a built in DNA charger?
