I do have a very serious concern.

I woke yesterday not feeling myself, light headed and such. I and had an episode whilst driving later in the afternoon where my legs, arms and neck were no longer moving, I began to violenty vomit, my heart was beating a million miles a minute, my vision went for approx. 30 seconds, absolutely drenched in sweat, could not speak, not in a good way at all !!!

An ambulance transported me to hospital where it was assumed I was having a panic attack, I have never experienced these before. After a few hours I started to feel better so went for a walk outside and had a few puffs on my vaporiser, within a matter of minutes it happened to me again.

The doctors now think that the vaporiser has been slowly poisoning me over the last 8 weeks and has sent me into toxic shock or it has had an effect on my heart and has sent my body into shock that way, although they are not sure.

I writing from Australia where these vaping cigarettes are not yet approved.

Has anyone else had any simular symptoms ??? I have been going so well .... Please help !!!

Thanks Bec

You should see a doctor.

What it may be is Nicotine sickness.

which means too much nicotine.
could happen from chain vaping, vaping high levels of nicotine, spilling e liquid on your skin, etc....

nicotine, in high enough quantities causes sickness.

Thanks ... I have seen a doctor, and that's exactly what they are saying.

Just wondering if anyone else gone through the say thing

maybe you can give us some more details;
like what you vape with
what mg strength
how many millilitres per day
your hardware
where you get your ejuice

i'm sure everybody is curious.

I use a Veppoccino I purchased online from The States from a company called Veppo Cig same from the liquid. I use 11mg non flavoured.

Umm depends on the days really but maybe 1/1.5ml on average.

2 ml a day of 11mg is not a lot;

Perhaps you have allergy to pg.

Perhaps something in your hardware is a problem.
Plastic tanks; poor insulator material;

could be something in the eliquid other than pg causing you a problem

That's very scary! Did you smoke before and are trying to quit? Or vaping for hobby? If it's hobby, I'd say stop, no point in taking chances.

I am certainly not a Dr or chemist, but would have a hard time believing it's nicotine built up in your system poisoning you over 8 weeks. If anything like that is happening, I'd be looking at possibly flavors, or the type of topper/juice holder you're using, does it have lead or other unwanted material in it. It shouldn't if you got it from a reputable place, but ya never know if it was from a place not so reputable.

There is always a chance it's not related at all to vaping. I would assume they did blood work to check for lead, mercury etc.

From what I've read most nicotine abotu 90% leaves the body soon after using it, drinking a lot of water helps with this.

Definitely work with the docs on this if you're vaping to keep from smoking, see what they think about trying some unflavored nic base, maybe try just pg or just vg with nic Good luck to you!

I don't think i'm much help because i'm one of those no nictone vaper people but I just wanted to say that I hope you figure out what it is and that you feel better and to the insensitive person who just suggested that you "Quit vaping" -- I would imagine you like vaping and thus would want to figure out what caused the reaction.

That is a very low nicotine intake. Bear in mind that you only absorb about 1/3 to 1/4 of the nicotine in liquids. So your daily intake in somewhere between only 2.75 mg and 5.5 mg. Even at the high end - that's less than the equivalent of about 6 cigarettes.

Nic OD usually results in anxiety or a feeling of edginess, in severe cases palpitations might set in..Basically - the same stuff you would get from too much caffeine. But "my legs, arms and neck were no longer moving, I began to violenty vomit, my heart was beating a million miles a minute, my vision went for approx. 30 seconds, absolutely drenched in sweat, could not speak..." - that sounds like something else - like a panic attack. Assuming that everything checked out ok and there is no other medical follow up to be seen you may need to look into that further.

The bottom line is if you are looking for confirmation here that what you experienced and to that degree is somehow vaping related and is reported by a lot of people - no you won't find a lot of reports like this. Especially not at your low nic intake level.

2ml of 11mg/ml of free-base nicotine may not be much for a very experienced smoker but could be way too much for a never-smoker or younger smoker. You could be allergic to nightshade plants (tobacco/tomatoes/eggplant), to peanuts (flavoring) to vanilla (flavoring) or other natural flavors.

If your goal is to quit smoking, alternate nicotine delivery may be the better choice for you, like patches, which are time-released, or snus. Follow your doctor's advice and thanks for sharing your experience with us.

Well they said they've been using non flavored liquid so it must not be a flavor allergy, and no history of panic attacks so some kind of reaction is taking place here.

1) How much did you smoke before vaping?
2) Is the non flavored liquid the only liquid you've been using?
3) What kind of atomizer/tank etc are you using to vape with?
4) Any known allergies to PG or VG?

I'd wager that if you have an allergy to pg or vg you would have known it long before now, but it's my understanding that sometimes these things can remain unseen and start to show symptoms later in peoples lives, definitely keep following up with your doctor because that sounds terrifying.

That doesn't seem like enough nic to cause those symptoms.

If the bottle was mistakenly mixed, and the nic level is much higher than what the bottle says, it would.

sounds to me like either the nic level is much higher than marked on bottle, could you test it with a nic testing kit?

or the vaso constrictor properies of nicotine not working with your vascular system.....I would seriously have all that checked for blockages, etc.

This is a hobby board. There are no doctors here. Most people can vape safely, but there have been a number of these kinds of posts over the years, including people blacking out, etc.

It doesn't matter if you smoked before or not......your body is your body TODAY, doing what it is doing now, not weeks, months or years ago. Asking non medical laypersons for an opinion about what sounds pretty scary is really not a good idea. Nobody here can advise you, they can only compare to their own experience, in their own bodies.

A post a while ago by a member was that he ordered 4mg nic and got 34mg......it's possible!
