I think no matter what i am going to need the 32g wire to help fix this issue, is the 32g thicker or thinner than 28g

32 is thinner, by quite a bit. Thinner wire = more resistance per inch.

Funny how re coiling a vivi nova gives me 2.5-3 but .7 - 1.1 on the aga

You're wrapping a significantly smaller coil on the Vivi. It's all about how much wire you use (length) that determines your resistance. Longer = more resistance.

also don't make a thick wick. thicker wicks have a higher response time than thiner ones. with a thin wick you have an almost instant full vape. with thicker wicks you have to wait a bit till the wick heats up.

as for the hot spots. you will eventually get it. just so you know is very easy to make a good coil. you just need practice. it took me a full week of tries. now i can make a good coil in just 3-4 minutes

Ok tried some 38g and it gave me 3.2 ohms, still was popping the wire trying to get the coils to light up at 3 volts, so i did a test, stuck a toothpick in the hole and wrapped that, all coils lit up, so its something to do with my mesh/oxidizing also tried another piece without oxidizing no luck

You also have to consider the wick hole is metal and will conduct if the wick is touching the side of the hole.I just move my wick around in a circle until the short is gone.Try breaking it in on a 3.7 mechanical device first, then go to a VV.

Just started tonight with a aga-t and could use some advice, i have watched a bunch of scotts/petes videos and still having issues, im building with ss mesh and i think 28g wire. When i build this guage wire on a vivi nova i get a nice 3 ohms. But the couple attempts with the aga leave me with just the top coil lighting up and 1.1 ohms. To use this on a vamo, or provari im thinking i need at least 1.5-1.7 ohms, i have tried poking at the coils and still just popping them, started at 3v and worked my way up to 5v..i guess my main question is what size wire is needed on a genisis style to get a good 2.5 ohm 4/5 wrap coil. Thanks

32 g wire with 5/6 wraps will give you ~2.5/2.6 ohm

I bought a mecanical mod it came in today, so ill play more tonight. It is 2 hard trying to get a RBA up and running with...lets see, I tried the evic, provari, zmax, and vamo...none of them liked the low ohms/shorts, Plus pulsing to get rid of hot spots just takes me to menu systems. I bought the Natural mecanical mod so I will see if I get better using that.

I'm not completely sure how it works, but I just slide an entire unoxidized wick in and let the coils oxidize the spot where they sit by themselves. Trasher, the guy who taught me how to do this method, has a post in a thread of pictures on how it looks, ill try to find them.

To each his own, and what ever works, and all that, but I don't understand starting like that. Just one time under a bic lighter will give a thin coat and makes a much better starting point methinks.
