I really hope e cigarettes can work for me. I've been off of nicotine all year, but miss cigar flavor. My cousin let me know I could get 0% juice. I wanted to try it post haste; at my cousin's recommendation I ordered a Kangertech Subbox Mini starter kit just a few hours ago (with priority mail shipping). My hope here is that I can find a liquid that will approximate a good cigar. I came across these forums today while searching for cigar flavor juice and found the NET thread.

I love cigars. I enjoyed them for 25 years. I was an active contributor to several cigar forums the last decade. I ordered Cubans from Switzerland often and only had them seized by customs once over the years. At my peak I smoked 10 cigars a week, but I had to all but stop when my employer started charging $55/pay period insurance premium to "tobacco users". I used part of a pack of nicotine gum as I quit but fortunately it wasn't very hard. I still REALLY want to smoke on camping trips and family gatherings when others are enjoying good cigars. I'm really hoping the e-cigarette will fit the bill.

I work in healthcare and am looking to switch organizations. Ohio has no protections for smokers rights, so hospitals are allowed to and do refuse to hire "nicotine users". You get tested for cotenine the same time you get tested for illegal substances. This is all the more reason for me to try out e cigs.

So I'll be following the NET thread, but along with any welcomes to this post, I'd appreciate recommendations for natural cigar flavor juice. I'm sure I'll have a lot of additional questions in the near future.

Hi @ohmatt welcome to the forums! That stinks about your employment situation and the cigars/drug testing for nicotine (those caffeine addicts get away with it). I haven't ever used NETs so I have no recommendations to give you but if you found the NET thread those guys will be able to help you out. Good luck with you vaping journey!

Hello and welcome to the forum @ohmatt. Glad to have you here!:)

I don't vape NET but Black Note is a NET juice: Black Note® | Naturally Extracted Tobacco E-Liquid

With regards to testing & cotinine, if you use juice with nicotine you will test positive. At least that is what I have read.

I was hoping to start asking questions in the existing NET thread but apparently I still need 5 posts here to reply there?

If I order 0% NET from a vendor, can I count on no measurable residual Nicotine content? I've emailed a vendor who looks promising with the same question.

The alchemist's cupboard description for their WLTE juice (which they no longer sell), "nicotine is not intended or considered to be extracted from the leaves in this process"

In a DIY NET blog post the author said something like 2MG/ml was left in the juice concentrate he extracted at home. Diluted 5x per post recommendation would still be .4mg/ml.

Ideas on which it is? This might be a wrench in the cogs.

5 posts and reply's count as posts. Once you have 5 posts and the servers update at :25 past the hour you will be free to post/start threads elsewhere.

If you need help in getting in your 5 posts, just go out and welcome some other new members or post in another thread that interests you here in the "New Member" Forum.

It appears there is no definitive answer to the NET question right now. I think I am going to avoid NETs for a while. Sometime in the future I'll smoke a bunch over a long weekend and see if anything shows up on a home test.

So now I'm seeking something that isn't horribly sweet or fruity. I picked up a local shop's vanilla custard and some Space Jam Venus. I still want something less sweet. Is anything like unsweetened coffee or tea flavor out there?
