Nicotine

A "general guideline" for nicotine concentration in e-liquid to the number of cigarettes smoked per day. If you are subohming (resistance under 1.0Ω) cut these nicotine levels by at least 50%.

06 mg = 10 cigarettes or less
12 mg = 20 cigarettes
18 mg = 30 cigarettes
24 mg = 40 cigarettes

eliquid/juice

PG = Propylene Glycol - the "flavor carrier" of e-liquid. A secondary source of "throat hit", but not as strong as the nicotine concentration. Some people have a sensitivity or even an allergy to PG. It's very thin.

VG = Vegetable Glycerin - the "vapor maker" of e-liquid. Used as a sweeter in many food sources, and also as a skin emollient. It's very thick. Often labeled just "Glycerine"

PG and VG are often used together in different ratios in e-liquid. For example, a 50/50 PG/VG ratio. Some juice vendors offer a range of different ratios as far as PG/VG.

PG - Propylene glycol. Pretty thin and watery. Promotes and transports flavor. Increases throat hit a bit. Found in many daily things, food flavorings, tooth paste, concert fog machines, breathing inhalers, the list is long
VG - Vegatable Glycerin. Thick and syrupy. Creates more vapor than PG. Sweetens and dulls throat hit a bit. Extracted from various vegetable sources, palm oil, nuts, seeds, etc.

Depending on your atomizing device will determine the extend of what ratio of these 2 base transports will be. Clearomizer like an EVOD, slow wicking you'd need a 50PG/50VG to 70PG/30VG. Newer Tanks on the market now can handle 30PG/70VG to 50/50. Rebuildable dripping atomizers you could get away with 100%VG.

Thanks a lot! very clear explanation indeed. So basically one can say that its a mixture but slightly diluted? I use an EGO one XL and going to get the Aspire Nautilus mini tank and the juice they recommend is a 50/50 mix of VG/PG. Is that correct?

Interesting! so a subOhm of 1.0, will then cut the nicotine level in half?

thanks again!
