Before I email a bunch of DIY vendors, does anyone know if non-DOW PG & VG exist?

I think I read on ECF that DOW's the only PG USP manufacturer. I also recall reading that VG was all/mostly made by another company but a vendor recently told me that their VG is from DOW.

I read the following about VG USP, so aparently DOW's the only USA VG supplier if the vendor who said their VG is from DOW is USA-made.

"Glycerin is a waste byproduct of biodiesel production, and lately the market has been somewhat depressed. In fact, there is currently only one producer left in the USA."
-from Bulk Vegetable Glycerin | Bulk Apothecary
^ They call themselves ' a huge manufacturer of VG', but I don't think they make it. I'm waiting on an email from them.

Maybe not their VG, but DOW tests on animals. So even if theirs is %100 vegan (no animal-derived products in it or used to help manufacture it), I think it might be 'better' if another VG/PG comes barged from the other side of the world if it's %100 vegan and not linked to animal studies.
I say 'used to help manufacture' as in filtered out and technically not in the final product which still might allow them to call it vegan.

I'm fine without PG and maybe soaking hot peppers for throat hit, but was looking for PG for a DIY order to get others off analogs and wanted throat hit for them without waiting for hot peppers to soak.

I might end up smoking RYO %100 vegan and cruelty-free RYO tobacco and hemp rolling papers if I can't find the right DIY supplies.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Humco and Proctor&Gamble for VG. Glycerin is not just a by product of biodiesel. It's been used ever since the first human got enough plant fat in a pot and figured out it might have a purpose. USP is the key for anything you vape. I understand the Vegan concerns. I don't think you are going to find a pharmaceutical company that makes any of the base products that is not involved with animals in some way. It takes lots of plant material to make VG. Lots and lots. Not much fat there. Takes big companies to make it and pass all the testing for USP grading. I think you are right about PG I believe it's mostly DOW.
