    can i buy VG at a pharmacy? lol sorry for the spelling. if you can buy VG at a pharmacy is it the same thing you can vape with

    VG is Vegetable Glycerine - Can be obtained at health food and Vitamin stores or at Amazon.com - The one I use is made by a company called NOW - I got 16oz for about $8 at Whole Foods -
    Amazon.com: Vegetable Glycerine 16 fl.oz: Health & Personal Care You want it to say 100% PURE USP FOOD GRADE - VG will be sweeter than PG and will take some of the flavor away because of the sweetness - But it also gives denser smoke with more hang time - VG has many uses and is a sugar substitute for hypoglycemics so it is often found at health and vitamin stores - Pharmacies often do not have it - They have something that looks similar but does not say 100% pure and it costs about $15.00 for 6oz - Not what you want really

    PG is Propylene Glycol and can be found at Tractor Supply or other Ranch and Vet type places for about $20.00/gallon - Is used for cattle treatment - Don't let that scare you - It's 100%PG - Although you may start to MOOOOooOoOOO ;)

    CVS Pharmacy has VG. Vegetable Glycerin Pure USP. It's in the cosmetic skin care section usually on the bottom shelf.

    Walmart also has it in the Pharmacy Section.

    They both carry their own brands.

    USP=U.S. Pharmacopeia

    Who We Are

    The United States Pharmacopeia (USP) is an official public standards–setting authority for all prescription and over–the–counter medicines and other health care products manufactured or sold in the United States. USP also sets widely recognized standards for food ingredients and dietary supplements. USP sets standards for the quality, purity, strength, and consistency of these products–critical to the public health. USP's standards are recognized and used in more than 130 countries around the globe. These standards have helped to ensure public health throughout the world for close to 200 years.

    USP is a non-governmental, not-for-profit public health organization whose independent, volunteer experts work under strict conflict–of–interest rules to set its scientific standards. USP's contributions to public health are enriched by the participation and oversight of volunteers representing pharmacy, medicine, and other health care professions as well as academia, government, the pharmaceutical and food industries, health plans, and consumer organizations.
    Our Mission

    To improve the health of people around the world through public standards and related programs that help ensure the quality, safety, and benefit of medicines and foods.

    Hot Topics: USP Glycerin Information

    "Glycerin Monograph Revisions

    At the request of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), USP has revised and strengthened its Glycerin Monograph to prevent future diethylene glycol (DEG) and ethylene glycol (EG) adulteration. The USP Excipient Monographs 1 Expert Committee has approved revisions to the monograph to include a 0.10% limit of DEG and EG in the Identification test of the USP Glycerin Monograph. The Glycerin Monograph has been posted as a Revision Bulletin in the New Official Text section of the USP Web site, and will become official May 1, 2009."

    Remember the tainted toothpaste from China? It had glycerin adulterated with DEG (cheaper). The chemical causes kidney and liver damage, as well as attacking the central nervous system, causing paralysis that hampers breathing.

    The glycerin you have looks to be safe if you trust their Quality Assurance team to have tested for DEG and EG. Is it worth the risk? I can't decide for you but a USP seal would be nice.
