Miss Vapor - where do you get the Wilton's Glycerine from? Is is VG? I'm a no-nic person and looking for the cheaper way to go. Also, where do you get your flavorings?

Any info would be most appreciated!

PS LOVE your avatar!!!!:)

You can get Wiltons in the cake decorating isle at a craft store like Micheals.
It just says glycerin, but Wiltons emailed me saying it was "plant derived" not animal.

You can get your flavors from Juicyliquid or liquidxpress and there are a few others like Capella..go to the DIY section on this board for more info..

UPDATE:

Got my tobacco 35mg from VT vapor, and I can't say im displeased. It isn't as flavorful as the juice I used to get from Johnson Creek, and it is very dark brown in color.

On the other hand, It is fantastic to have something stronger than 24mg! I use about 3-4 batteries a day, instead of 5-6...

I tried the 50+50 pg, Wiltons VG. Didnt much care for the coating that was left in my mouth. Vapor was quite good though....

Holy cats! Here I am, less than two weeks into vaping and looking for help with what appears to be a PG sensitivity, and you've just given me a REALLY useful bit of info!

I had been reading about VG alternatives to PG-based e-liquids and had just ordered a bottle of the Johnson Creek "reduced PG" formula, in hopes that that would help, but I was also shopping around for entirely PG-free liquids when I came across your post.

I'm a baker. In fact, I'm a vegan baker. So as it happens, I have a bottle of Wilton glycerine sitting right on my kitchen counter, used to make fondant and to thin gel icing colors when they start to dry out. I had already called the company years ago to confirm that neither their icing colors nor their glycerine contained any animal-derived ingredients, so, yes, this is just VG.

I also have a whole shelf full of various extracts and flavorings I use for baking.

As it turns out, I also had a fully-charged blu (I know, I know, but it was all I knew about and it's actually working pretty well for me, PG issues aside) battery and a brand new blu atomizer sitting right here, plus the empty mouthpiece they ship the atty with. I figured, hey, at worst I kill an atomizer of an e-cig I'll likely replace with a different mini pretty soon anyway, right?

Using the "dip" suggestion in another thread (the blu has an exposed atty wick, very convenient for dipping in e-liquid), I mixed something like 10 drops of glycerine with maybe 5 drops of orange extract in one compartment of one of the zillion unused contact lens cases that always come free in the box with my lens fluid. I screwed the atty to the battery, dipped the wick into the glycerine concoction, attached the empty mouthpiece, crossed my fingers, and took a tentative drag.

As I said before, holy cats! It totally worked. TONS of vapor, a nice subtle orange flavor, and so far none of the chest tightness/lung pain that seemed to be caused by PG. Of course, it's early days (minutes?) yet, but after several drags I'm thrilled with the result. At some point I'll likely want a tobacco flavor, and will probably go with Vermont Vapor or Johnson Creek once they get their new all-VG recipe together, but in the meantime, I'm just happy to be vaping again.

Thank you thank you thank you!

Hi all, new here, first post... been lurking and reading for a bit and got me a 402 from sharp smoker, which I am (on day 2) very happy with altho I do not care for the taste of the "marlboro" carts or liquid. (have ordered a liquid sampler)

OK, so VG is vegan... um, is the implication that PG is not?! In reading up about it beforehand, I saw nothing to lead me to think it was in any way animal derived. If it is, I need to pick up my analogs and order some VG.

I am new to vaping. I have a Joye 510 and Pg e liquid. Every time I vape I cough profusely is that the problem you had with PG I am wanting to try some VG e liquid to see if I can vape that with no cough.

When I tried VG liquid, I didn't cough as much. It seemed a bit smoother, but I miss the throat hit with VG.

I found VG is easier on the throat, and also is far less prone to leakage than the runnier PG. Cignot dot com seems to stock all the major Chinese flavors in pure VG form. .

This is a good point esp. for those using PTB in a 510. Because people can tend to hang on the button and simply because it is a manual/no cutoff, it will run warmer. Warmer means less viscous and a greater tendency to leak. JC juice is thin. JC and PTB in a 510 is asking for leaks. Adding some VG can help.

Having a VG based juice is even better. For those into DIY, eastmall has 30ml 60mg unflavored VG (and PG too) - Get some Pure VG and combine with distilled water at @ 80-VG/20-H2O and mix with the 60mg to get your nic level and add your favorite flavor.
