I just started vaping (510) a week ago and have been analog free except for a minor 2 puff set back today. I have few question if you could be kind enough to answer.
I started out on PG juice and today received my first VG juice from Viking and I'm not digging it at all. Is there a transition period from PG to VG? It feels smooth with no flavor. Also if I stay with PG juice how long doe the dry mouth stay for.

Dry mouth can stay a week or 3, you really need to up your liquid intake quite drastically.
VG is much softer, and yes there can be a lessening of taste with VG, but increased vapor, some people prefer it though; what can I say? We are all different lol
You don't have to vape any VG at all if you don't like it/are sensitive to it.
BTW - both PG *and* Vg cause dry mouth so one is not really better than the other for that.

Hi Brian. Welcome to ECF! Good choice on ecigs ;-) ejuices will vary greatly. I vape 80% VG and it is quite tasty and flavorful. I use Decandent Vapours ejuices not currently available in VG but hopefully that will change soon. But Ecopure and Ultrapure are two VG's that, imo, are high quality - and cignot has Ecopure flavors. Unfortunately both PG and VG are desiccants, so.... you have to drink plenty of fluids when you vape, although it seems like there's more dry mouth at first than there is later - but I always have a coffee or juice nearby too.

Best bet on any juice is to find vendors that have samplers and try as many as possible at the lower prices before making an 'investment' and know that your taste (tastebuds) will change - I noticed that about 4 weeks after no cigs. And that seems to be pretty standard - 3-5 weeks and your sense of smell and taste returns. Not much change in that aspect, but you're 'palate tastes' may still be changing. First I wanted menthol - what I smoked, then tried all the sweet stuff and then got a bit sick of that and went for the tobacco, cigar, french pipe, flu cured and coffee/cappuccino flavors - I'm still there at 9 months. ymmv....

Complete noob here. I had to hold the cursor over PG and VG to see what they were. Is VG supposed to be that much better for you? I didn't think PG was bad for you. Can anybody give me the run down on the differences, other than the obvious?

There is more incidence of allergies with PG, but even then it's a small percentage of the population. PG is thought to hold flavors better. VG gives much more vapor and is sometimes cut with the PG in an 80:20 PG:VG blend to add that vapor. VG is a bit sweeter in it's pure state but it isn't recommended to vape VG without cutting it with either distilled water or PGA (use your cursor ;-)

Many people like VG because it has the word 'vegetable' in it. It can be made from animal fats or vegetable fats - the result is exactly the same chemically. 80% of the ejuices I vape is VG from DV at TW lol. (Decadent Vapours now at Totally Wicked but they're only selling PG right now).
